"Global Leadership Academy Charter School allowed Ms Butts to get a 8th grade student to confront my 2nd grade student. Ms. Butts called the other student and asked her to talk to my daughter the 8th grader told my daughter that she would grab her hair and drag her down the hall is she played with Erica Butts. Ms Butts then confirmed that the student was serious and had Ms. Davenport agree with her. I spoke with the principal Mika Michelle Evans and she basically said Zafira was lying and she would investigate. So I asked how are you going to investigate if you don’t believe my daughter, you’re going to take your staff side. I then asked to speak to Ms Butts. Tamika stated that I could not speak to Ms Butts for her safety. Even though they disregarded my daughter’s safety. While wait for the police Ms. Butts comes down the steps and I ask her why would she call a student for my child and I was escorted out of the school. When the police arrived they were inside of the school and I waited for 30-45 minutes until the police came out. They handed me a letter stating that my children are being expelled because of this situation. Also on the letter are two names of children who are not mine. I spoke with the School District of Philadelphia Charter School and they told me that the school can not expel my children because of an argument and that a decision can not be made unless a meeting is conducted and it was done illegally and I should seek legal advise. The principal is a liar she stated that I swung on a staff member but yet I wasn’t detained or arrested. This is not the first time where they look the other way when kids are assaulted or threatened by staff. I witnessed a parent come up and fight Mr Washington because he hit a child, Mr Dabney punched my son, choked another student and hit another with a ruler and he’s still employed there. They had a staff member on spicegang staying he slams kids on the head and he was still employed. This school needs to be shut down. They don’t have the kids best interest. They have employees there with felony criminal records because they hire through agencies, I know a few personally who work there with felonies. This school is a circus. And I will be filing a lawsuit!"

"So far the telephone system isn't good. There's a recorded message all day, also the sevice drops and no one ever answers the phone. Secondly the website that's labeled Parent Resource is a joke. The resources made available there is basically micromanaging parents household. Who asked for that? Also the calendar is useless no, todays events posted like what the children ate for lunch, or postive affirmation for today, or even the school mission statement there. The website do say Parent Resources, put a variety of in the now relevant information there, like school dismissals ect, other caregivers are picking up children, and are transporting who have a life to. Lastly all the parts to a body need to be ve woven together in order to get the hest possible outcome. With that being said tighten up that phone and calendar system. Otherwise one might think the school want to teach our children AWAY from their family. "This school is the worst 4 5th grade students pissed them selve today were told they could not go to bathroom because the teacher did not want to lose her job? ????? Omg then the dean tells me that kids they can't handle they let them do whatever? ??? I have been in the building it's a zoo..the staff in that building curse janitors cussing at kids when she has to clean up from kids peeing she says ya'll too big for that (we know that) or she says next time I will leave it...she probably will fights allllllll day in school out school I am proud that this school will be charter....my kids have been to 3 schools since moving to philly 2 public 1 charter and the charter school was the best school..."

"I'm 73 years old now and I remember S.B. Huey School very fondly. I attended the school from 1949 to about 1955, grades Kindergarten to sixth. The original building burnt down, I believe, but I can still remember the original very vividly. I even became captain of the safety patrol back then. When I attended the school, we went on many trips to famous Philadelphia sites and even starred on a radio show (WIP). I believe the show was called "Classroom of the Air". Anyway, my elementary school, troubled as it may be due to today's economics, remains a fond memory in my 73-year-old brain."
