"They are middling. On my first visit, the dr. (Dr. M) used a spray to numb my toes. (I had issues with toe nails.) This hurt, but was tolerable. On my follow-up visit, more needed to be done in cutting back the toe nail. No anesthetic was used at all. It was literal torture. I asked for the dr. to use something, but he assumed I meant an injection--which he said would hurt more. I do not know what happened to the spray. I have never been to another podiatrist before, so I don't know if this is how they all are. But not a lot of concern for pain here. Just a warning. The actual procedure worked ok."
