St Veronica Catholic School
About the Business
St. Veronica Catholic School, located at 3521 North 6th Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a primary school dedicated to empowering children to reach their God-given potential. We are currently accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year, with a limited number of seats available for the current school year. Our school nurtures the intellectual, emotional, and spiritual growth of students from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
This spring, St. Veronica Catholic School hired our first Director of High School Readiness, Jose “Gonzo” Gonzalez, who brings years of experience in education. We are excited to offer resources to help families of 7th and 8th graders navigate the transition to high school.
As part of the Independence Mission Schools network, St. Veronica Catholic School is proud to provide a quality, affordable education to over 4,000 elementary-age children in and near Philadelphia. We invite families to attend the network Financial Aid Night at St. Malachy Catholic School on Thursday, February 1st, to learn more about available resources.
In 2023, our 8th graders went on to attend a variety of high schools, prepared for success by their time at St. Veronica Catholic School. Join us in empowering children to grow and thrive in a supportive, faith-based environment.

"This is the worst school ever, it’s like being a jail the students get in trouble for no reason. Some teachers don’t know how to control there class and some teachers are very unprofessional. The principal is a two faced b**** and only wants money"
"We left in 1973 for NJ. We lived at 642 Tioga. I was baptized and made my first communion here. My parents were also married in this church. Such great memories."
"Best Teachers I've ever came across both of my children went and are attending. I referred many of my friends and family. I ❤ St. V's. I'm most grateful To all who work there. Mrs. Vicky The hardest working friendly admistrative assistant nothing but the up most respect. Thank you, to all. Sincerely, Maritza Arroyo"
"Sister Eileen Buchanan the current principal is the meanest principal this school have had by far. Her unprofessionalism is unbelievable, she have always the biggest smile I've ever seen in my entire life, however as soon those school doors closed ,the kids experiences are in some cases traumatic, I have to reward one of my child just to go to school since the principal is such a nightmare for the kids, some teachers are straight Mean and calling names, WE NEED TO RECORD SECRETLY to actually believe what's going on inside the school. My other child avoid as much as possible any contact with principal. CATHOLIC SCHOOL SHOULD BE ABOUT LOVE AND COMPASSION, Mrs.Vicky the secretary is the sweetest person ever, the Principal DOESNOT deserve such an amazing person working for her....My kids are NOT the ones that talk back, they are actually emotional ones, and was hard seen them crying not to go to school, one of them got to the point already to talk back because she constantly behind every child like this is the military. The BULLYING in here is not even taken in consideration, THEY DO NOT care about you childs safety. PARENTS BEWARE! YOU WILL HAVE A HARD TIME HERE AND LOOSE MANY DAYS OF WORK JUST TO HANDLE ANY LITTLE THING WHENEVER THIS PRINCIPAL FEEL LIKE IT. The main priority of Eileen Buchanan is to get as much money and approvals as she can. THIS IS NOT A SCHOOL FOR YOUR CHILD!!! DO NOT PUT YOUR CHILD THRUOGH THIS"
