"My son has had the pleasure of taking bass and band lessons at the Rock School over the past 2 years, and I must say it has been an incredible experience. The bass lessons are exceptional. What truly sets the Rock School apart is its emphasis on collaborative learning through band sessions. Being part of a band not only enhances my son's individual skills but also teaches him the art of playing together with others. The Rock School provides a platform for students to apply what they've learned in their lessons to a real musical setting, fostering a sense of camaraderie among fellow musicians and friends. Watching my son play on stage in front of a crowd is my favorite pastime and John and Melissa, the owners, do their best to get them on stage often. I can confidently say that our time at the Rock School has not only elevated his musical skills but has also left us with lasting memories. I cannot wait to see where it takes him."

"I've been going here for a year in January.. BEST YEAR OF MY LIFE!! I take drum and guitar lessons and I am in multiple bands!! The environment is very positive and welcoming. The school has truly turned into a home for me. Everyone is so nice and I highly recommend if you or your child wants to go here to do it. It truly is an amazing place and you can do so many things to do like vocals, drums, guitar, bass, etc!! This school is definitely one of a kind!!"

"A great place for kids to learn and explore music. My daughter has been there since she was 7 and has played piano, ukulele, and drums. Her main focus is voice and Mel has been an amazing instructor. She loves the weekly band where she plays with her friends. Parents and families get to see all the hard work in a show that is done every 3-4 times a year."

"Let There Be Rock on MacDade is a great music school for anyone of any age looking to learn an instrument. Not only do they offer music lessons but they have a Broadway Sings program as well. If your child loves theater, this is great program for them to be involved in. My son took drum lessons here with Dennis and absolutely loved it. He was younger when he started playing and what I loved the most is how patient Dennis was with him. Dennis, along with all of the teachers at Let There Be Rock on MacDade, are all wonderful and show true leadership. They are role models that our kids really look up to. John and Melissa have built a great music school on MacDade in Folsom, with very talented teachers and are actively involved in the community and giving back.
