Reviews
"The school staff outside of teachers are absolutely terrible, the school is very diverse but it almost feels like the staff is doing everything to ship as many African American students back to public school. The school is cracks down on students for the simple things but won’t crack down on big problems like smoking in the bathrooms or vandalism in the bathrooms."
"This school is not that good for athletes. They love to use you. I was abused by the head Coach of the basketball team. Carroll has no connections to D1,D2,and D3 schools."
"WOW.... I am a graduate of John Carroll..Class of 1971. Yes, being in high school can be difficult, but you make it how you want it. I have a hard time believing that the faculty has the attitude as described by several of the reviews. I was fortunate, in that not being a great athlete, I was still able to enjoy the four years. Favorites were not part of our education. You were graded on your work and behavior. Now my daughter teaches AP high school social studies, and her view is that parents need to be more involved, and come to the understanding that acquiring an education is a right, NOT an entitlement. Entitlements are earned and worked for. Go Patriots...."
"my son liked it enough but for a small school i found them as a parent to be a bit distant. It was hard to find information and sometimes the answers are very short as if you are being annoying. My child has a disability and took up a sport. I heard players and PARENTS teasing and making fun of my son. So much for the Catholic school. I did not share this with my son but talked to the coach.. got no response and found a way for him to not sign up next year and it was all his decision (w/o the previous knowledge) They seem all about the money and there is no wiggle room. My daughter went to a private friends school and they actually worked with me! I was able to continue to make payments AFTER she graduated.... i am ashamed to be catholic"
"This store is terrible. Sure the academics are good and the sports but some of the kids are absolutely terrible, some are good but they get picked on. It sucks for anyone trying to learn when there's stupid immature kids here and there. The teachers pick favorites and if anyone plays sports, they are automatically accepted. I don't get it. Everyone at that school knows 10 or more students who take drugs in or out of school. Some sell and others just take. Its disgusting. There is far more schools to send your children to. Or just cross your fingers and hope nothing bad happens. Make sure they can play football or lacrosse and your in."
