"Remy is the best"

"I give two stars because the office staff are super nice. However, the walls in the rooms are paper thin and I can hear everything that’s going on with the patients being seen next to me. When I had my first visit with Dr. De prince I heard him scolding a pt about their weight so I kind of already knew he was going to go in that direction with me as well. My reason for the visit was to go over my results and address and issue from these results. This was my first meeting with him and he seemed annoyed that I was there because I got a bill and I was told by my insurance I needed to see a doctor not a NP. He was clearly annoyed, but as a patient I was doing what I was told. At the time I had just given birth to my baby and taking care of a toddler, so taking some time to do self care such as getting my health checked shouldn’t make me feel ashamed or like I am annoying someone (especially a medical professional). I had an old shirt on from a hospital I worked for previously because all I wear are tshirts and leggings at the time. When asked to be referred to have surgery for my issue I was told “ask your friends from your old hospital”. I knew then that this appointment was over and I wanted to run. I was so uncomfortable and at this point just agreed so I could get out of there. He was more focused on my weight rather than the main medical issues I was there for. He told me he was a “weight loss guru”, well I didn’t agree to seeing a “guru” and I wasn’t there for weight loss. When I checked my chart none of the major issues where highlighted, but somehow my weight and obesity where highlighted in red. This was a few months ago, I am just now seeking another doctor but hopefully this will help others steer clear, especially the moms who rarely get the time to take care of themselves and not want to be shamed."
