Reviews
"Best kept secret Maryland has to offer. Great owner, awsome staff. I drive 30 minutes away past 5-6 other horrible, vape/hooka/ cratum/delta 8 terrible tobacco shops, just to shop at the shack. This tobacco museum is the only place I get a consistent product, and an education from a century of good knowledge."
"Always professional. A large variety of products for cigar and pipe smokers. As well as tobacco items. The proprietor is very friendly and takes his time explaining what each item is and assists those that are novice to well versed. He is very genuine and is reminiscent of the days of true customer service and is like talking to a friend. Those looking for a tobacco shop will not be disappointed."
"Outstanding customer service. I have been into the shop several times for cigars but when I mentioned that I was interested in pipes, the proprietor taught me everything that I needed to know. He asked me to sit with him for a bit, chat, smoke a little at no charge, and made sure that I was comfortable with my new pipe. Gentlemen like that are a rarity these days. He may not have rock bottom pricing but you get what you pay for."
"Individual on duty locked up early and did not want my father's business. We called 20 minutes before closing to verify that they had brass pipe screens. My father has had trouble getting those in the past locally and now that he is bedridden he asked me to go find it. When my wife arrived at the shop for my father on her way home, she had a list valued at over $120 at the other shop my father used to frequent up in Thurmont Maryland. The store was locked up tight 10 minutes early and when my wife called to verify she was in the right place, the individual picked up the phone and hung immediately. While I do not know if their inventory is One of a kind or a dime a dozen, I know that I have no problem returning to Thurmont, telling anyone of my experience and sharing this information with this review. Make sure you are buddy buddy with the individual on duty or they may lock you out and act like you do not exist."
"Overpriced. I'd happily pay for service, but that's lacking as well. I purchased several cigars, lighter fluid, and Boveda humidifier pouch. The Boveda was never bagged, but I was charged. The shopkeeper insisted he bagged when I called and asked. On top of that, they charge more than twice spot for silver bullion. Junk silver dimes were MORE than $3 each. They have a few decent cigars, but not much to speak of in the humidor."
