"Great doctors. They know what they're doing, and your in and out without long wait times. Had my knee surgery done from them, HIGHLY recommend.!"
"The Dr. I seen was awesome. The one receptionist should be in another line of work. The 1st time dealing with her I told her I will go elsewhere because she's very unpleasant to speak with. Unfortunately, I had to come back due to WC. I've had to talk to her 2 more times and she's unpleasant each time. Cuts you off, doesn't listen, and just mean."
"After waiting over an hour in the world's most uncomfortable lobby chairs (which is ironic for an orthopedic office...) the doctor didn't even look at the X-rays I brought (I had to reschedule 2x because I was required to bring them with me), he take 5 seconds to 'assess' me and throws me a prescription for anti inflammatory and steroids- and he was done. I declined the steroids cus there was no purpose for that. And just left. They didn't even send the prescription through insurance they told the pharmacy I was paying cash which was 48x the amount. PS the anti inflammatory didn't work! Yay! Also the reception people are the absolute worst. They are rude, don't know how to download the pdf of new patient files, and laughed at my ridiculously high copay which was clearly a waste of money and time. Was also told to come back in a month. No one followed up or even cared to schedule me. They DGAF there. Don't bother with these places that you're forced to go to just because they're 'in the network' for your insurance- theres so many other options for pain relief & recovery that don't take insurance and you get so much more for the same price."
"Nothing but a great experience! Brought my 15 year old daughter to see Dr. Steve for lower back pain. He was thorough, kind and wasn't an alarmist. Ran appropriate testing, prescribed a heavy duty anti-inflammatory and shut all of her activity down for 2 weeks. She is back on the field. Dr. Steve was great, I would highly recommend him."
"This is the very first time I've left a negative review for any medical office but find it necessary after MULTIPLE negative experiences for myself AND my husband. I would like to warn future patients who are in pain. Me: Approx 6 years back, went to see the P.A. Cavanaugh for back pain after childbirth. I had badly thrown out my back after 6 months of having my first child. He told me to take ibuprofen and do some exercises. Fast forward, I go to see my neurologist and he is able to prescribe me medication that will loosen up muscles and then sends me to physical therapy that got me squared away. Husband: Approx 1 year ago, my husband tolerating back pain for over 1 year until finally he can't get out of bed and needs to see a doctor. I make an appointment at the only place I know and the only available physician is Cavanaugh. He takes X-rays and tells my husband to take ibuprofen and then stretch. I find this ridiculous since he can't move. Coincidentally my husband has his annual appointment with our family doctor who prescribes him a 5-day steroid pack and my husband is finally able to get himself feeling well enough to stretch, and do back exercises that were given to him by our family doctor. He's back to running and being pain-free after over a year. Me: Approx 6 months ago my wrist was giving me a ton of pain. I couldn't even hold my 4 year old's hand while walking because it would give me shooting pains. Couldn't put any weight on it and even wearing a splint didn't help. I go to see the only available physician (Cavanaugh) who told me to take ibuprofen. I then press him and finally he gives me a steroid shot that might have provided a bit of relief but 5 days later, back to it. My sister in law tells me to see a hand specialist. In the first 2 min of that appt, the hand doc has me bend both wrists down and he sees a lump. I had a ganglion cyst that was causing the pain which he drained on the spot and told me to come see him if it returns. Point of the story...I wanted to think that this practice/doctor's misdiagnosis and recommendations were a fluke...but there is a consistent pattern of failure here. Will not return."
