Reviews
"Loved the store and employees who helped me and my boyfriend. They custom made a bracelet to match the necklace since they didn't have one. I loved they were so attentive and helped me look through the catalog to find something I was searching for. Great people, great service, great store. Will continue to go back and absolutely recommend."
"Great quality good selections and very helpful hell they made a bracelet to match my necklace."
"I've sold gold here for years, always friendly. I'm OTR with hubby now and bought a ring online through a reputable platform and seller, both of which offer satisfaction guarantees. I returned to Aberdeen to ask this business's 3rd generation master jeweler to resize the ring and ensure the stone is stable. The store's counter person, who has always been super nice and friendly, gives me the cold shoulder, says they cannot resize the ring because it is 18k gold-plated over silver and they don't electroplate. I am freaked, obviously, and go outside to call the seller. The seller rightly asks how the ring was tested. I said the jeweler's counter person eye-balled it, which I trusted due to my positive history with this business. I've watched her rub jewelry onto a black plate, then use drops of something to test the components, many times. I go back in and the counter person is in the back of the store and I hear her say to her hubby, the jeweler, "That's her, she's back." More weird vibes, but he actually touches the ring, says it is marked 750, which indicates 75% gold. He says he can resize it, but it will be a lot of money to resize a lot due to current price of gold. He really doesn't seem to want my business. I leave and am still confused, since two people I have previously trusted gave me drastically different ring assessments. I decided to call, share how the whole experience has been weird and get a definitive answer. The guy answers, is short with me, asks me whom I want to trust, him or her?! Him, obviously, because otherwise I just got ripped off. I just cannot get past how differently I was treated this store visit. THEN IT HITS ME! I suspect it's my "Make Racism Wrong Again" Tshirt that made them not want my business. EDIT: I now suspect the 180° about face is somehow related to me holding a public servant (housed about 300 feet away) accountable for abhorrent behavior while representing the City of Aberdeen. NOTE: a store that doesn't like a review can respond or even try to repair the relationship. Or .. call with a Cease and Desist threat (3/9/23). I stand by every word in this review and will defend it, if required to. UPDATE: Great news! I found another expert jeweler, this one in Florida, that did a while you wait resizing."
"Brought my wife’s ring in to get repaired. It was pretty damaged and I thought it was going to be very expensive and take a while, but the price was super reasonable and they only took about 15-20 minutes to repair. They made it look brand new and you can’t even tell where it was broken prior. They were also super friendly and had really good conversation. Would recommend for jewelry repair."
"I recently bought a used watch that needed some love. They were able to first determine if the watch actually worked, which it does! The battery was replaced and I had the wrist band fitted. Very helpful and informative. They offer other services that I need, like my wedding band resized. I also picked up a polishing cloth for the watch which they were also kind enough to explain how to properly use it. I was able to wait for the repair and was out in 15 minutes. This guy knows what he's doing! Highly recommended. Thank you, again!"
