"I praise God for Cheswick Christian Academy. This school is focused on our most important resource, God’s Children. Psalm 139:14 says “I praise you dear God because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Cheswick doesn’t have the financial resources of the big schools both public or Christian. Its teachers and staff literally dedicate their lives to the formation of the students. No one is making fat salaries or building up their financial nest egg to work at this school. Instead people of all ethnic backgrounds have donated their time coming from highly qualified teaching backgrounds with great academic skills to give students a strong academic education in a Godly environment. It is a joy to watch students catch on to the academic challenges of the teachers. The students are challenged to a high academic standard where individual responsibility to do homework, attend classes, and develop the best Christian morals and values is stressed. It is always the hope of the staff that students can “catch on” to this standard. There is always compassion implemented when a student is struggling and needs a little extra help. Sports is a very big joy at Cheswick Christian Academy. Through various sports activities like Flag Football and Basketball, students develop needed discipline and are focused on their studies more so than the temptations of their teen years. At Cheswick there is a rich diversity of students from many different backgrounds. Students at Cheswick learn to study with each other, to support each other, to laugh and cry together. As a dad that has sent his 15-year-old twins to Cheswick for 4 or 5 years now, one of my favorite things about being a part of a Christian School is the prayer that we do at basketball games lifting up the name of Jesus Christ for support and protection as we play! Cheswick Christian Academy is a special place not because it is a lavish building but because of its heart for Christ and for the students who build their academic life at the school. I have included a picture of a little boy who is hugging two of his favorite friends who have returned from college to watch our team play flag football. Students who attend Cheswick Christian Academy call the school their extended home. Students return from far away in various colleges to catch up with the everyday life of their extended family! Most importantly, students leave Cheswick Christian Academy having developed strong academic skills, an anchored Christian Foundation, and an extended family that endures!"
