"School administration does the bare minimum possible to help students. Any student with any special need, be it a learning disorder or a mental health disorder, will be treated like a problem and given little to no assistance. I have and had a severe social anxiety problem. Any requests my family or social workers made were denied immediately or ignored entirely. Because of my treatment by staff and administration, in my tenth grade year my family temporarily pulled me out of SRHS and I went to Butler Intermediate where I was given a pass to leave class 3 minutes early and had access to a therapist at any time I needed. These incredibly small rule allowances that SRHS refused to make gave me the ability to finish my 10th grade year. I then moved school districts to avoid SRHS. I have several friends with similar horror stories regarding SRHS's staff and student body, so my story is not at all unique. I am disgusted with what SRHS deemed acceptable treatment of their students. Especially the students most vulnerable and in need."
