"The gyno here constantly pushes a pap smear which is something I do not need yet and is constantly rude with horrible bedside manner. If there was somewhere else I could go to get my depo, I would. Everyone else is really friendly and great. I did get mistreated here for tonsillitis and a sinus infection that I ended up needing to go home for to see a real doctor because it got so bad, but they were still understanding and kind and tried their best."

"This place has been a godsend for me as a student who can fall severely ill when I do get sick. The convenience of a place like this on campus is crazy. And my experience with the staff is the best it’s ever been my whole life. All of the female and male staff I’ve run into have been so supportive, caring, gentle and nourishing to my health. I haven’t had one negative experience with ANY of the staff, or perhaps I’m just lucky. I don’t think I’ve had the same doctor twice but I also haven’t been there more than 8 times in 2 semesters. I would highly recommend this place."

"As a student, I have had some poor run ins with the female practitioners there. I’m not sure why but if you go to the wellness center for things related to sexual health they tend to be very judgemental. HOWEVER, today I went to receive an emergency contraceptive (plan b) and I was put with the older male doctor. He was the most respectful and kind doctor/nurse I have been paired with at IUP’s wellness center. Definitely request him if it’s sexual health related and you’re comfortable with a male doctor. The one time freshman year when I received emergency contraceptive, the female doctor preached abstinence and god to me. She also didn’t ask if it was a consensual encounter or not. Obviously, those two factors together can be very triggering for another student. The male doctor was very thorough and helpful. He also let me know what time frame I should come back in to do a pregnancy test and so on. Bless his heart for doing his job and doing it RIGHT."

"While in college this was the only place I knew to go to for womens health. The gyno here is SO extremely rude, unhelpful, dismissive and demeaning. She basically shamed me for making an appointment for the issue I had and shamed me for not scheduling an appointment with the health center for a $100 pap smear, I literally had $300 to my name. Once she left the room a nurse came in (bless her heart) and noticed I was crying. I explained why and she said the behavior of the gyno was not uncommon. In addition, she provided me with information to free clinics where I could get a free pap smear, but told me she actually wasn’t allowed to do that. What kind of health center doesn’t allow their workers to help people??????? Sorry to leave a bad review for the whole center but the experience I had with the gyno was awful and dont want any other young girl to go through that."
