"This park frankly looks like its been very neglected. It was a bit of a struggle to even find the place first but once we arrived the parking “lot” is TINY. Getting down to the park is kind of sketchy as well just because there is no path down the hill so you run the risk of tripping/falling on roots, rocks and really uneven terrain. Theres no picnic tables and the benches are wobbly as well. Not sure why you’d go here unless you’re in a pinch or live directly next to it but i don’t plan on returning"

"FANTASTIC area. Beautiful, lots to see and do. DEFINITELY needs cleaned up a bit. A LOT of dead and falling trees that obstruct paths and could be cause for harm."

"One of the many, many great natural areas for hiking, dog-walking, trail running, mountain biking or bird-watching within 30 mins of Indiana, PA. This one is located just at the NNW edge of town, identified by two tall, tree-covered hills off the high slope of 12th Street. Fauna abound, with deer peacefully grazing all about; chipmunks darting everywhere; the echoing, rapid beat of pileated woodpeckers hammering away at hollowed trees; nuthatches, chickadees, red tanagers and even a rare blackburnian warbler; recently it was reported that a family of black bears was foraging in the area... the trails are wide and well defined, totaling a few miles in total length. This forest is primarily deciduous with some sparse pines; plants observed include wild ginger, beech nut and the medicinally-viable goldenseal among a number of more common temperate woodland plants; on one afternoon walk in June, following a week of rain, my family discovered and photographed more than 30 different types of mushrooms just along the trails! As always, please keep our nation's parks and trails clean! Enjoy your visit!"

"I took my dog walking here a few times before it got cold this year. I really enjoyed the walks with her. It didn't ever seem horribly wet out there even when I anticipated it would be. If you take some of the smaller trails, they can be poorly marked. I actually used Google maps to get me out the first time when I came to like a 4 way intersection and didn't know which trail was which. It is a very beautiful place with lots of wildlife to see. I'd definitely take her back. I just wish there was more parking at the 12th street entrance. It seems as though it could fill up quick on a nice hot day."

"Beautiful place for hiking. Plenty of trails with a good workout. However, the trails are not marked very well. They do have a map posted here and there and occasional signs but that's about it for trail markings."
