Braddock Lee Apartments

"The worst management I have ever encountered. I had a tour scheduled for Monday December 4th at 2:00pm. I get to my appointment and no one is at the leasing office to assist me. There was a sign at the door that said they would return at 3, as if they completely forgot my appointment even existed. I called and called and no one picked up the phone. Finally someone picked up the phone after 3 and the young woman apologized and said she was new. She apparently rescheduled me for today, November 11th at 2pm. I called all morning to try to confirm this and no one picked up the phone. Someone picked up the phone finally at around 11:50am and told me I wasn't on the schedule for today. Very rude woman as well (as expected from someone of that type) and she told me she couldn't do anything. Very terrible first impression. I will definitely be taking my money elsewhere. Unresponsive staff and nonchalant, rude people overall. Can't even imagine what living here is like!"

"This would be a decent place to live if the services were consistent. There's only one working dryer in my building, but countless service requests have been made on it. Plus, the machine to add money to the laundry card has been out of service for weeks, so I've had to spend money at a laundromat. The A/C has gone out randomly a few times this summer, each time on 90+-degree days. The leasing office says it was being treated as an emergency, but it's currently been out for 5 days so far. It was over 85 degrees *inside* the apartment last night, which has no vents or ways to create air circulation. You can buy fans to push hot air around, or open windows, but then you have to deal with the ant problems (if you have windows near trees/garden areas). Location, maintenance team, and the friendly staff at the leasing office are pros to living here. But it seems like poor management of the property."

"There are some lovely things about Braddock Lee, but right now it is close to unlivable. At the time of writing, the AC has been out for 5 days. It's 10:00pm and the internal temperature in my apartment is 88 F. Handling of this has been absolutely atrocious. Laundry services unavailable throughout the whole complex for weeks. My building has been severely infested with mice for *years*. I'll stop there for now because I can't really work, or write a coherent review, in my stifling, over-priced, 88 degree apartment."

"Front office staff is great, maintenance is responsive. However it seems like Harbor Management really cheaps out on their contracted services, hiring disreputable/non responsive companies for services on campus. CSC (laundry service) has yet to fix a payment system issue that has made it impossible for residents here to do laundry for almost 2 weeks. Dominion towing was contracted to manage parking and is a well-known predatory and nasty business (they were literally raided by state and county authorities for predatory towing a few years back). Disappointing because again the on-site staff is great, but the higher ups at Harbor Management HQ need to really rethink their contracted services - it certainly has a large impact on quality of life here."

"I've lived two years in this community and so far I have enjoyed my time in here. The apartments have lovely green areas and the location is unbeatable. The maintenance team is always great and efficient, as they always show up promptly and fix things that need to be fixed/replaced in the apartment (this is definitely a plus, since I've heard horrible stories about the maintenance in other places)."
