"By far the best life opportunity I ever underestimated. It took years of therapy to move on after throwing this chance away. Stay in school and stay sober, and if you can't stay sober get help!"
"Had a wonderful date night at the Freedman Theater. Young talented students playing a Jazz Ensemble this was their first for the year and they were great. The theater was very clean and the ushers very friendly and helpful."
"Amazing campus and opportunity for a specialty education. Great programs for music, design, art, vocals, film, drama and dance for high schoolers and college-level students. Great to catch a show whether you like opera, drama, ballet, modern or film. The campus also is ♿ handicap accessible with parking, ramps, elevators and more."
"I was a high school student in the mid 2000s. The program was sub par overall, from how it incorporated and promoted my music studies to the high school academia. I often lament not leaving the program and returning to my prior instructors who were top notch by comparison, but I so wanted to branch out and meet new people and explore my freedoms as a young person. The real kick was that the instructor I had auditioned to attend under left shortly after admitting me, and the school itself never sent me that information, so I had packed up and moved into a school believing I was going to study with someone only to find out that his replacement was an absolute nightmare of a person. I barely made it through those two years of my main supervisor and studio instructor who had been the replacement. The school felt more like a prison for on campus residents than a creative homestead. I met a lot of incredible students and that is what kept me there until I graduated. I auditioned for the college program despite dreading the idea of attending. If you feel like this school isn't giving you what you need, run. I was there under Chancellor Mauceri, another disastrous influence upon the community there. I give the two stars only because of the wonderful student artists I so thoroughly enjoyed living amongst."
