However, I just successfully leased a 2-bedroom apartment in Arlington, VA. They checked my bank accounts and approved me without any issues."

"My friend and I applied to North Hill when they first started applications last year around October, and it has been an ordeal. I understand that with it being an LIHTC/income based apartment, the application process may be a bit more complicated, but it’s just been a little frustrating. The initial time frame the apartments were supposed to be ready is November last year, but they changed it to end of this month due to construction. For any updates/changes to your application, they require you come in person even for the smallest of things. For a simple error, you have to come in, cross it out, fix it, and initial beside it. (Something to keep in mind if you live further away. Also for parking at their temporary office, if you can’t get street parking, it’s $9 every time at the garages nearby.) They don’t allow you to put down a deposit to hold the apartment until your move in date, so they can change the price on you or give away the apartment any time before then even while your application is being processed. They make you feel like they care at first, and then they show in the way they handle things that they don’t actually care about helping you. When problems arise on their end and they call to let you know, they don’t offer any solutions/help and you have to be the one to ask if there’s anything else that can be done. They switch up a lot. The area and apartments seem pretty nice, but just something to note."
