"It’s convenient due to its location and certain amenities, however, if you can avoid staying here I would recommend looking elsewhere. They are super money hungry and charge you for ANY inconvenience even if it’s their fault. They are not considerate to the fact that majority of their tenants are college students. So if you’re having an issue, you will most likely receive little to no help or guidance. Overall, this building is overpriced and poorly managed. In less than a year staying here, there has been numerous power and water outages. The elevators and hot water often don’t work. Keep in mind the building goes up 15 floors. When these issues occur, they rarely communicate nor are they apologetic. They also wouldn’t dare discount or compensate students despite the building being at fault. I’ve also had a woman who works for Vie Towers named Colleen text me with smart remarks and try to argue back and forth. It resulted in me blocking her phone number. If you are a student especially, save yourself the trouble and rent elsewhere."
"I've lived at Vie Towers for my last two years of law school. It is a great furnished, off campus, privately owned student housing option for UG and grad students in the dmv area. The majority of the residents attend Howard with a sizable group of UMD students. There is a vibrant air of camaraderie in the building—once a neighbor I’d never met loaned me a lawn chair I needed in a pinch. Management contributes to the vibes by regularly hosting solid (even some lit) social events. The gym is my favorite amenity, and I've heard a rumor from management that new equipment may be on the way in 2024. The PG mall, movie theater, three grocery stores, and metro are all in walking distance. Management responds to all maintenance requests in a timely manner. I would love for the roof-top furniture to be replaced; otherwise, I like the direction this property is going!"
"*** Update: ***Mo is a savior. He reached out and got this issue resolved for me in a matter of minutes and assured me a positive outcome in future applications. Thanks to HIM. 08/2023 . I called several times no answer. I applied for an apartment online they took my application fee, after hearing nothing back I called and finally got through they said the apartments are full. They had nothing available. I asked them why would they allow me to apply online they responded “it’s a gliche” yet offered no refund. They are allowing people to pay and apply online with no actual apartments available."
"I stayed here for two years. The shuttle system to Howard was not good, there was never enough buses to take every student that was living there to and from Howard. I also ended up getting mold in the A/C vent in my room. Not worth it in my opinion, especially if you’re a Howard students. There’s better options in the area."
"I would have rated the move-in experience as a 5 out of 5, if it were not for the inflexibility of the site general manager who would not allow the usage of moving bins not even 5 minutes after the 6:00 pm cutoff time. I traveled from the state of Illinois and experienced a delay in my arrival. However, the manager remained inflexible with a lack of compassion and empathy not only for me, but other parents and one in particular who traveled from a Caribbean Island to assist her Howard University student and was due to travel back the next day. She was also told she could not utilize a moving bin. Otherwise, the staff was excellent, friendly and helpful with the exception of the head general manager."
