"This is regarding instore pickup for online orders. DO NOT select substitutions allowed. They basically substituted 48 12oz cans of soda for 24 7.5oz cans and charged me the same amount which is more than the current price for the 7.5oz cans. I'm trying to be as nice as possible but the lack of basic math skills and qualifying to work at Walgreens. Just wow"
"Regarding pharmacy, there is always communication issues. Requested an early refill as I would be out of town the day my rx would regularly be filled (my doctor also called and authorized the early refill) and the head pharmacist kept saying it was at her discretion if it gets filled or not and kept trying to explain to me laws on control substances being filled early. I explained multiple times I was well aware of the law which is why I went ahead of them and contacted my doctor’s office before contacting walgreens to clarify I would be needing an early refill, asking them to call the pharmacy and authorize it. They said there was no problem with an early refill but head pharamacist kept refusing. The head pharmacist had me calling back and forth between them and my doctor, my doctor ended up sending a partial refill because pharmacist kept refusing to fill the entire rx, just for her to go ahead and fill the other half of my partial rx on the date I had originally requested in the first place. They also regularly lie and say they do not receive my refill requests from my doctor when my doctor says they never pick up the phone, and I have personally been in the office when doctor’s staff are trying to call in my medicine."
"I used to go this store frequently, but they have added some retail workers (males) that are extremely socially awkward, make inappropriate comments, unkemp, and have no customer service skills. Furthermore, the prices at this store are skyrocketing. Walgreens isn't convenient enough to pay 25-40% more than Food Lion and Walmart respectively. One last note, as a 50+ year old man, this is the only place that routinely makes me take out my license for them to scan all my information from the licenae 2D barcode. Fout reasons why this is irritating! 1. Frequent license handling of store personnel increases illness exposure (this is a drug store, which mean people with communicable diseases shop here when contagious). 2. They can read my birthdate off the license. 3. My license is breaking apart from handling and taking in and out of my wallet. 4. I am 50+ years old. It's obvious I was born over 20 years ago. Nonetheless, the store's clean at least."
"This is regarding the pharmacy only. Used to be good but in the last couple months have been awful. Medication has been “out of stock” but not communicated when prescriptions are received so your time is wasted during pick up. When medication is in stock, lack of communication between them and the physician leads to issues and then of course lack of communication with the customer leads to more time wasted. I have attempted to fill 4 prescriptions recently only for it to take several days to do so. Would highly recommend ANY pharmacy besides this one as the staff seems overwhelmed and overworked."
"I recently had most of my prescriptions transferred to Walgreens after using another local pharmacy for the last 7 years. I was a regular at my old pharmacy and they knew me by named and always greeted me with a smile. However, they recently had staffing changes so I decided to switch for convenience since loyalty was no longer a compelling factor. I've received mostly good service although this location is extremely busy and hectic at what seems like all times days/time of days. I went a couple of weeks ago and experienced a near fainting episode while waiting in a long line (4 in front and 4 behind). One kind onlooker helped me find a seat in the waiting area and eventually shared with the pharmacy staff that I was ill (bless her). I was awake but very very dizzy and had my head back, I've had episodes of syncope previously over the year but never alone. In a few minutes the pharmacist (Noir King) rushed to my side, inquired as to my needs, purchased water with her OWN money and assisted in retrieving my prescriptions. She was my s-hero that day! In a crowded pharmacy she was the only person who came to my aid. In a pandemic world I get that others don't want to stop and help others. Noir stooped close to me (I was masked), touched my shoulder and gave me her attention. It was only for a few minutes but it meant the world to me. Being a pharmacist has never looked easy and I have had my share of difficult encounters, but as busy as she was she took the time to care."
