"Terrible staff and maintenance people!! Building looks super nice until you live here for a few months and begin to notice the roaches. We have lived here for almost a year and have not encountered roaches until recently but the management and pest control team are useless. Move here if you want to be essentially called crazy for calling the management out for their faults and being laughed at by maintenance when you ask then to check your cooking appliances for roaches! Since we moved here it has been issue after issue starting with the building having a flood on the third floor that dripped all the down to our unit and caused us MONTHS of repairs because the management could not send competent repair people to do the job correctly the first time. Our most recent issue is a roach infestation in our oven that management seems to not think is real - they send over a pest control guy who says he cannot treat the apartment and needs to be gone by 3pm to me (a woman) but then when my boyfriend steps away from his WORK he is able to spray some cabinets and call it a day. This also seems to be a running issue here that the man in my household gets more respectful and REASONABLE answers to the issues we have than i do! I would highly recommend saving your time and money from this overpriced building and choosing to live elsewhere as the only people who get respect here are men!"

"Beautiful building but terrible staff and maintenance! The building is infested with mice and roaches and management refuses to address the issue. The garage shoot area is often over ran with no room for residents to dump trash. I’d encourage you to speak with residents before signing a lease because there are incentives for leasing staff to fill apartments. Proceed with caution. Oh the location is phenomenal with east access to everything you will need"

"I’ve lived at the Citron for almost two years since moving from Texas. It was my first choice in an unknown new area and I feel very lucky about choosing the Citron as my residence. Office staff is always considerate and responsive of any concerns or questions you have, including our very busy property manager Valeria. Whenever there are issues affecting the community, message bulletins are sent out promptly through our community app. The building amenities are maintained well and kept up to date. Several resident events are thrown throughout the year that go beyond what a residency complex usually provides. Great location in downtown silver spring. I can easily walk to most amenities within 15 minutes (when the weather is nice). You’re just a few steps away from the center of the neighborhood and yet you’ll barely hear a noise at night."

"Beautiful building, location, and staff (from the leasing agents to the maintenance engineers)! And, the Property Manager, Valeria, is a Rockstar in my book!! My daughter and I have lived in downtown Silver Spring for 9yrs and we've never experienced such a professional yet personable staff and team. And, there are always activities or special events for the residents (e.g., breakfast on the go, meet and greet seasonal and Holiday parties, community drives to collect for those who need, and Small Business spotlights to name a few). The Citron is a unique, well-appointed apartment building in this area in that it was built wide (only 5 floors) instead of high which speaks to how spacious the apartments are and how warm the overall vibe has been for us. And, the pool area and outdoor amenities are well maintained and feel more resort-like than any we've ever experienced. Our neighbors have been great, friendly and several even decorate their doors for the various Holidays which makes for a super homey collective. We have lived at the Citron for about a year now. I rarely write reviews and wanted to reserve judgement so that I could authentically share my/our experience. And, I can say that we 100% love our space and it truly feels like a home! So far, we have not experienced any major issues (like we did in a previous building); everything seems to be managed comprehensively, timely, and transparently here. We signed a two year lease and look forward to another wonderful year! M&M"

"Clean, well-run apartment building with spacious, light-filled units. About half have a balcony overlooking the pool, like mine. Maintenance is speedy and thorough, the water pressure is good, and the location in Downtown Silver Spring can’t be beat—both walkable and quiet."
