"My husband recently had a kidney transplant and thanks to Dr. Tevar who saved my husband's life. We are truly blessed to have him in Pittsburgh. He and his team are the best of the best. Many thanks also to Ashley my husband's Nurse Coordinator who always took my calls and answered all of my questions ."
"Everyone, I mean everyone, from reception to lab to clinic staff, nurses, case coordinator, doctors, recovery floor after liver transplant has saved my life and continue to make this process as comforting as possible. I cannot put into words the gratitude I feel for this remarkable team of dedicated selfless service individuals that have touched my life. Thank you My anonymous living donor is an angel I think of and pray for every day."
"My husband has been on dialysis for 7 years. Had a kidney transplant evaluation on March 19, 2021 and it was a waste of our time. Everything was fine until the nephrologist Kristine Wu came in. She sat down and said that my husband has no chance to ever get a kidney transplant as his heart ef% is only 26% and it has to be 46% in order for him to get a kidney transplant. She also said that his acites (excessive fluid) will never go away. Plus we were told my husband needs both a kidney and liver transplant. None of the records are updated as they are getting this info from records that was from 10 years ago. Plus she stated we were wasting their time being there. You have wasted our time by setting up the appointment and we should be reimbursed for the extensive travel costs and the hotel stay too. There are people who have pacemakers and have worse hearts than my husband and get kidney transplants. There was a person who had cancer there and was accepted to be on the transplant list. I would definitely NOT reccomend this place for any association with. My husband's doctors will be furious to know what happened at that evaluation and hoping someone gets reprimanded for this issue."
"This is the best hospital in Pittsburgh and is #1 in transplanting any organ into or out of someone, the doctors, and nurses are the best team providers anywhere not to mentions best care in wellness so yes they ROCK"
"I had a modified multi visceral transplant performed here under Dr. Kareem and Dr. Costa with their fellows and team back in 2008. The team was exceptional and very caring as well as empathetic, the nurses were all top notch and became like a second family. These procedures are not fun as any could imagine but their professionalism and love is great. I have not been there since Dr. Cruz has taken over but I do imagine that he follows in that same tradition with great empathy and love towards all patients. The hospital is very top notch and just over all amazing to me."
