"This is my second experience living in a Southern Management community and the quality of the staff, management, and upkeep has been every bit as high this time around. When looking for new places to live after a cross-country military move, I looked at Southern Management properties in particular and couldn’t believe my luck when I found this place. The location is insanely good. A beautiful, quiet, tree-lined neighborhood of mostly single family homes with rivers, parks, a country club and beautiful churches. The streets are broad with a low speed limit and sidewalks are everywhere, making this a perfect place to jog, walk dogs, or take a stroll with your family. Very safe. The schools are incredible as well. So you have that quaint, tranquil neighborhood feel, but you are also only 5-10 minutes from suburban sprawl convenience. Tons of restaurants, grocery stores, movie theaters, etc. You really have the best of both worlds. Although the buildings are a bit older, the staff does a great job keeping up the place. Everything is very clean and they treat the property with love and care. The leasing team is always professional, courteous and kind. I leased an apartment here sight-unseen just based on online research, but when I actually arrived from out-of-state, everything actually exceeded my expectations. The kicker is that the rents are actually quite affordable compared to other places (at least they are at the time of this review). Everyone’s looking for a place that’s safe, affordable, in a good location with good schools. Usually you end up having to compromise on at least one of those fronts. But this place checks all the boxes."

"We have been living here with my wife for about 4 months. Management is great in every way. they do their job very well and they always show a kind and positive approach. They are also very fast in maintenance, when there is a problem, they try to solve it as quickly as possible. Neighboors are great people. I strongly recommend here to everyone."

"We love living in this apartment complex because the leasing office is incredibly kind and responsive. We've had an especially good experience with Diana and Karen from the leasing office. They helped us make arrangements for our apartment while we were on vacation, which is above and beyond service! :) Larry from the leasing office is also awesome. He helped us out with a request in renewing our lease. Super understanding and got us the update we wanted! Whenever we've put in a maintenance request they're always timely and communicative. While our appliances have been new and the apartment is in good shape, we've had minor fixes here and there. Maintenance is here in less than 24 hours. They also do preventative work fairly frequently (changing out filters, cleaning porches) and always give a heads up to their arrival. Thanks North Forest! :)"

"We've been here for 3 years and love it. The first apartment we could make a home. The leasing office is very responsive if you have questions or need help. They are understanding if you have any concerns and they are on top of things. All paperwork, any notices or updates they will make sure to email or send a paper to your door. If it's a short notice they will even call you. They are super considerate about your space where you truly feel at home. The staffing for their maintenance team is awesome. They are super friendly and very efficient. They get any orders done in a timely manner. During covid they were respectful wearing their masks, the sidewalks when it snows are always prepped with salt and cleaned. Emergency after hours maintenance they are so kind & come pretty quick ! They never make it seem like its an inconvenience, and arrive in a good mood ! They are constantly cleaning the grounds also. The location for these apartments is perfect ! The Crofton parkway is perfect for walks anytime of the day. Being next to all the shopping centers and grocery stores plus gyms, the location is my favorite! If you want to keep to yourself people respect boundaries and maybe a friendly nod but if you want to be more active, the neighbors will have conversations and alot have been here a long time so you can see they have gotten to know each other over the years. The parking is great. There has never in all the years we've been here a tow truck. Everyone who is a guest parks where they are supposed to. After 4pm the parking starts to fill out but even if you had to park further away it's not a crazy walk. There are like 10 assigned spots through out the whole apartment lot besides those spots you can park wherever and most times get a spot in front of your building. The apartment layout is my favorite with a walk through kitchen and spacious rooms. Our walk in closet is huge ! I was able to set up my WFH set up and have a quiet space. The noise is very minimal, you can hear footsteps sometimes but it's nothing outside of normal living in apartments noise. There are kids but for our building I've never seen any. I love that each building has their own laundry room, any time i go to do laundry theres always washers and dryers available and i go sporadic times each week. Also the building to get to your apartment have nice open spacious walkway. The pool is huge. The gym has everything to do workouts and machines you probably wouldn't own like a elliptical. The mail man is really nice. We get amazon often and ups as well and never had any issues of packages being taken. Everything that's important for me I've learned over the years of bad experiences in apartments and this place has really been a perfect fit and crossed off everything I would want for comfortable living while being in apartments. I would highly recommend !!!!"

"We didn't end up renting here, but will be living at the sister community Carlyle instead. I just wanted to leave a review about the experience of looking at North forest, applying and being on the waitlist. The community seems really nice and so affordable for the area it's in, and has a great pool and fitness center. The one bedroom we toured was roomy and felt quite nice. Most of all, I loved the support of Diana at the leasing office. She was able to give us a tour when we showed up on a whim, and provided so much assistance throughout our application and time on the waitlist. She was so patient with all of our questions and available over email much more often and with a quicker response time than we could've asked for, including assisting us on Christmas Eve. I can't speak to the experience of living at North forest, but we had such a positive time throughout the visits and application that we would've moved in with no hesitation."
