"If I could give 0, I would! Michelle is VERY unprofessional! We made an appointment online twice, but the office was locked. The second time we went, Michelle talked to us in a condescending tone and treated us like we have no papers nor we could afford it. She told us she'll send us some documents and a list of the available apartments, but never did! Went there in person to talk to her but told me she saw the emails and that she would send it but still didn't. It's been more than a week now!"
"Despite what you may read in the reviews, this complex is 100 TIMES BETTER than it was before and during COVID. The management at the time (late 2019-late 2021) was awful. Maintenance request were being ignored. When confronting management at the time, they always made excuses and didn't get anything done. It wasn't until Keyri (and Maire-Ann) came in and made things easier. My unit had issues and they stepped up and went above and beyond to eliminate the problems. They are more communicative with what's happening and Keyri herself is very nice and caring. She does EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to make sure tenants are taken care of. Previous management could care less and just take your rent money. They even host small events at the clubhouse every now and then to bring the community together. The units here are very spacious and the complex is well-located to get to everything (metro to DC, easy access to Virginia, hotspots in Montgomery County, etc). I would highly recommend looking here to rent if you need to. As long as Keyri and her team is here, you are in good hands."
"TL;DR: The Wingate management team of the Amber Commons complex is pretty bad (will make your life harder) and the monthly leasing prices are definitely not worth it as the buildings are old and not properly maintained. I couldn't agree more with 1 star reviews. I don't even want to give this complex one star if possible. Please note that the Amber Commons apartments are not cheap. For me, this complex is the worst one I've ever lived at so far. The Wingate management team is the worst (I found both manager and assistant manager unprofessional and rude like other reviewers do). There is no emergency maintenance team and it takes at least a month for the maintenance team to work on requests. Online maintenance ticket system is also not working either and you have to go to the office to put in tickets (They always forgot to record your tickets and you have to go there at least twice to make sure your tickets are on the list lol). Infestation of bed bugs and cockroaches is common in the complex. My neighbors are moving out and I am gonna move out soon too."
"2 years ago it was nice living here, now with the new administration and the new manager Keyri Cruz she doesn’t take the time to attend the residents. When someone comes to the office to claim something all she does is get in her office and say she’s not available. The utilities are bigger than if you lived in a house. They never answer the phone and if they answer they leave you on hold and they never call back. The other personal who works in the office are all arrogant and they’re not helpful at all they act like if they don’t want to work there or help anyone. Personally I went to ask why they were asking for so much documents to be able to keep living here & the manager (Keyri) was all mad and said that if I wanted I could leave. For that reasons and many more reasons I don’t recommend these apartments there is a lot of racism from the employees because the manager does not attend any hispanics , she’s never available."
