Atley on the Greenway Apartments

"Moving here was sure non the less a regret. The only pro I have from living here is the fact that I dislike this place enough to motivate me to buy a house. There are so many issues I have with the place including staff. I have been charged rerun and late fees despite the money being on my account and providing confirmation from my bank that it was never charged. Another big issue is laying in my Ben and construction workers being outside of my window with no notice. The used a ladder and climbed up to o get to my window and others to do work. I got notice the second time through a letter posted near my door but for some reason not an email. The letter said for a specific amount of time the would be there but there but they were there for much longer that what the letter said. The communication is award winning terrible.when I was going back and forth about the dispute about my payments bouncing I have to wait more or less a month to hear back from the manager. Parking is horrible, gym is minimal, water fountain at the pound works and sometimes it doesn’t but when it doesn’t the algae builds up and it looks embarrassing. I have never been excited to move into an apartment but never have I been this disappointed. Not to mention the dented appliances and half working washer when I moved it. I thought that is was a cute complex when I moved in but I hate it here so much that I don’t see it that way any more. The cons outweigh the pros but a ton ad these are only half of my issues with this nightmare."

"I moved into Atley on the greenway 7 years ago after searching various rental communities. I wanted a safe and decent community for myself and my then 9 year old daughter. I must say, it has been one of the best decisions I made especially since we just relocated. We have enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood, clean environment, modern appliances, top notch maintenance services, great customer service from the staff and so much more. It’s by far one of the best rental communities in Ashburn and Loudoun county !!"

"We placed mom in a ground floor, one bedroom unit at Atley on the Greenway a year and a half ago. This complex is amazing. Gated community, amenities, (2) pools, barbeque pavilions, impeccably kept grounds with lots of green space. Management has been fabulous to work with, very accommodating to mom's needs. Unfortunately mom's needs have changed and we had to move her to assisted living. I would highly recommend Atley for anyone of any age."

There are aspects to appreciate, but there is much room for improvement. **Pros:** 1. **Friendly Leasing Agents:** The leasing agents are generally pleasant and simplify the administrative process. 2. **On-site Gym:** While small and needing repair, having a gym on the premises is convenient. 3. **Pet-friendly:** This is an excellent place for dog owners, and they welcome our four-legged friends. 4. **Child-friendliness:** The community somewhat accommodates families, though opinions may vary. 5. **Efficient Maintenance:** The maintenance staff are excellent—responsive and capable. 6. **Leasing Manager:** Depends on the time and occasion, but can be considerate and helpful. **Cons:** 1. **Canine Cleanup:** The property is marred by dog waste, making walks less enjoyable and unsanitary. 2. **Neighborly Nuisances:** Unfortunately, there seems to be a lack of courteousness among some residents. 3. **Gym Glitches:** The on-site gym has potential but is hindered by broken equipment. 4. **Security Concerns:** The half-functional entrance gate raises questions about the community's safety measures. 5. **Waste Management:** The compactor and recycling areas are frequently overflowing, which is both unsightly and unhygienic. 6. **The walls are paper thin, a major structural issue, you can actually hear your upstairs neighbor’s doing their business. There’s really little privacy with walls so thin, therefore rent with caution!!! **Concerns:** What exacerbates these issues is the management’s focus on rent hikes, even as competing developments are set to open soon. Our mailbox has been flooded with marketing flyers for new rental communities boasting genuine amenities. If this community wants to remain competitive, substantial improvements are needed."
