"I have a lot of mental issues and dr. Ramsey is the only psychologist that hasn’t done wrong by me. Other doctors tried to shove meds down my throat, they made me overdose, put me on meds I didn’t need. Not her. She has gotten me on meds that work for the majority of my issues, which is a hard thing to do. She answers my questions and we go through my ideas to try new meds. But I’ve been on these meds for nearly 5 years now and usually they don’t work that long for me. Many people say they don’t get along with her. She does have a strong personality and will tell you what she thinks. I like that because I’ve come to trust that she won’t have me take anything I don’t need just to make a buck. She cares about her patients."
"Excellent care, compassion and knowledge by most and I have been going there for over a decade, however, when I received their answering machine to report a need to cancel an appointment due to illnesses, the office does not recognize that I have done so, which has made me look bad like I have an ✖️ on my attendance record! You need to come up with a better system of communication! Also, I don't know if Nikki is a Nurse or an L.P.N., but she is a very nasty person! She actually screamed at me back in Dec. 2022. Another poorer review re: I have had to ask for my yearly blood work once, they should be asking questions pertaining to our mental health, because that is a part of our health care, too. Now there is a problem with who is ordering my M.R.I. and I need it for another Doctor by the end of this month! I have been trying to resolve this for over a month, now!! Also, beware, if you don't advocate and even have close family members or friends advocating for you, Doctors here will lie about you, without listening to you. All it takes is having one or two people as part of your healthcare team, that you cannot avoid, that you don't get along with ( and according to other reviews, it proves it isn't me ), that they will all stick up for one another, regardless if they practice in different areas. By not listening to the patients, they are impeding on your care. Bad people are everywhere, regardless of ANY profession! In this case, an utter lack of bedside manners! I think I am done with female medical staff. They generally make horrible bosses and now there are a lot more males who actually listen when you tell them the truth, are a lot more compassionate, respectful, caring and thorough!"
"I feel like everytime I come here expressing my concerns for anything , it goes unheard. Takes forever to get seen an when I do, they disregard my symptoms an family history . Was told I was being sent to a specialist an they would contact them. Been 3 months and I’m still waiting for them to contact a specialist . Very poor work ethic and terrible patient care."
"I went to the Behavioral Health Center initially to get Emotional Support Animal papers so I could bring my dog to college with me. The first time I called I specified that is what I wanted and everyone made it seem like it wasn't an issue. I arrived for my appointment and immediately felt very judged by the nurse practitioner I saw. When I was asked my religion and responded something other than Christian I was asked if I was "seeing or hearing things that weren't there". I then brought up concerns of undiagnosed ADHD because there is a history of it in my family and I have a lot of symptoms, I have a list of all of the traits I noticed in myself. This was met with doubt and the nurse never even asked about my list or to hear what symptoms my family and I have noticed. She then told me she thinks I have BPD based on one symptom I show. I know multiple people with BPD and all of them agree I don't have it. I also told her about something I worry about often and rather than reassure me that it was just paranoia (which it is and I know and acknowledged that- I do have severe anxiety and am constantly paranoid about irrational things) she went on a rant about how that specific thing is something I should be worried about. At the end of the session I mentioned getting my ESA papers since that is specifically what I went there for and the nurse told me she didn't think getting them for me would be a problem. She told me she would ask her supervisor and that I would just need to come back and pick them up. Four days later I called and asked if I could pick up my papers and was told I could go in whenever and get them. When I went in, the receptionist had no idea what I was talking about and told me I would need to schedule ANOTHER appointment to get them. So I did schedule another appointment but the day of that second appointment they called and cancelled it with absolutely no explanation other than her supervisor said they wouldn't do that paperwork for me. I am beyond angry and will never return to this place. If you want real, quality help, I suggest you look elsewhere."
"I love my doctor's I see there but am constantly frustrated by the switchboard people, I leave messages and never get a call back and have to keep calling, I now going to the er bc I don't know what else to do. I also was stuck in construction omw to my last appointment, called n told them I'd be a little late, they said keep coming, just get here when you can, I arrived 10 mins late and waited over another 10 minutes while they helped another person, when they were done I was told I was over 15 mins late so they cancelled me, I don't live in Meadville and have to pay for rides so this was very frustrating, esp since they told me to keep coming and I was there bf 15 minutes. I like n respect the medical staff but I'm at the point I'm looking for a new provider."
