"Lived here 1 year (2022-2023) positives; Management was very friendly and helpful. Fast maintenance. No theft. Safe community to live in. Good looking apartments with a lot of space. Snow cleared by 8am. Issues we had; Low water pressure in the kitchen, and bathrooms. Breaker would trip if we used an air fryer, and a microwave at the same time. A lot of traffic noise from the highway next to the building. Not sure if our upstairs neighbors were heavy footed, or thin flooring. No parking near our building in the evening. Dated appliances in the kitchen. People not picking up after their dog near the playground. Over all we had a very positive experience at Brookmeade Apartments. I know I wrote a lot of negative issues, but most were minor. The three big reasons we decided to move after a year were that rent increased too much ($1,245 to $1,445). I got a job further away, and the parking around our building always full after I got off of work."
"The property managers here (Jackie????) is super unprofessional. I called about renting an apt. and she treated me like I was a nuisance. First off I submitted my application and got an email saying I wouldn’t contacted soon by the property manager! 2 weeks went by and no one called! So I called and was treated with the utmost disrespect. The First Lady (Maria??) was nice and helpful but her supervisor doesn’t not belong speaking to potential tenants. Professionalism is something she is seriously lacking! I wish I could speak to her supervisor to let him know that she is scaring potentially great tenants away!"
"I lived in this apartment complex for 7 years.... in the beginning it was great. But over the years it has gone through several office managers and the present is the worst. I faithfully paid my rent on time for the entire time I lived there as well as recommending several friends and family to move there. Never again. I purchased a home and had to give 2 months notice luckily for me that coninsided with the end of my lease because if it hadnt I would have had to pay another months rent for early termination. I made sure to replace a craked blind replaced a toilet seat and cleaned throughly. Well that wasnt good enough. I recieved a bill about a month later. $130.00. Really!!! They claimed they had to clean the carpet, paint, they replace the toilet seat and the drip pans on the stove. What happened to normal ware and tare. Nothing you do is good enough for them. And now they have sicked the lawyers on me over $130.00. Stay away..... The playgroud is a hang out for everyone so the little kids cant play. Sad what it has turned into"
"I'm active duty Navy and at the time, I blindly rented a place looking for something affordable with my limited BAH.... If you're Military, STAY AWAY!!!! The first year was decent enough but after I signed another year lease it quickly descended into crap. My brand new (less than 600 miles) Hyundai was shot by local kids with a BB gun. Then about 3 months later, still under 1200 miles, my Hyundai was hit by a vehicle backing out and they drove away! The complex rents to people on Gov't assistance which I generally don't have a problem with BUT the class of people it attracted was LOW!!! Trash EVERYWHERE!!! I placed my stuff into storage underneath one of the other apartment complexes and that day I noticed a red solo cup with cigarette butts and swisher remnants laying on the the bottom step leading down to the storage, I KID YOU NOT, 3 years later when we moved, IT WAS STILL THERE!!! I even told management 3 separate times!!! PLUS it flooded numerous times ruining some of my stuff. When our second lease renewal came up we decided to ride it out because we only had one more year stationed there... 4 days after my lease ran out I called the management and they told me that they FORGOT I LIVED THERE and had it scheduled for the place to be cleaned and carpet pulled the very next day ("
"They are unfinished looking, but renting. The walls are only painted with the chalky base paint, the landscaping may be finished, but there is concrete 'rocks' from the construction phase that were never picked up all over the ground. The basements are partially done and dirty. Overall one of the more dirty Apartment complexes I have visited. There seems to be a small crime issue too, vandalism in places."
