"Rent from the reserves at Berkeley Great community, nice front office staff, clean amenities and units. Maintenance is quick and reliable. Recommend living here if you value good quality apartments."
"I am not sure how some people can rate Metro Property Management so high or how Metro could even call their units luxury. Not only are their units cheap, Metro themselves has some of the worst service and will rob you at the end of your lease. We’ve rented from two different companies in Bridgeport, WV and the apartments at Metro were the worst. While there is no shortage of similar reviews to this one, We feel compelled to add our experiences, and spare others from the abuse of this company. The people at Metro Property Management are simply criminals. The West Virginia Attorney General has even sued Metro and yet this company continues to have the same garbage practices. Metro has complexes all over Morgantown, Fairmont, Bridgeport, Clarksburg, Martinsburg, and Waynesburg. They treat every facility and tennant horribly. They do not maintain appliances, they do not communicate with tenants, and they steal your security deposit when your lease ends. Make no mistake, their only goal is to milk every penny they possibly can from you - while giving you nothing in return. These are just some of the issues we have experienced, along with unexpected garbage fees, broken gates, and bears roaming the property freely without addressing safety issues. Metro’s service is minimal at best and they did not communicate with us about fixing anything in the unit. Their appliances were unacceptable. Metro calls some of their complexes “luxury apartments" even when their appliances barely function. The dishwasher was loud and did not clean the dishes. We could only use the liquid dish soap because the pods never dissolved in the dishwasher. Metro does provide a washer and dryer; however, both of those appliances were old and barely worked - we eventually moved our own in, but like everything else with Metro we had to pay to use our own washer and dryer. The defective appliances in our apartment made it extremely difficult to live in and Metro did not care about it at all. On top of the subpar service and the low-quality appliances, Metro only gave us $200 of our $1100 deposit back to us after we decided that we were not staying there any more. This was the tipping point for us as we scrubbed the place from top to bottom and took pictures of everything. We spent days with a whole team of people cleaning our unit and scrubbing everything according to a *surprise* lengthy list that they give you when moving out. Metro still charged us an extra $200 for “cleaning” and noted that there were “smears” on the mirror, “black rings” in the toilets, and grease spatter behind the stove. There was also a surprise $200 carpet cleaning fee that was not mentioned until we moved. Metro also charged us $500 for “painting” even though there was no damage to the walls. We cleaned every wall, every appliance out, and and all the floors according to this list. I am not sure how Metro got their numbers to charge us almost all of our security deposit, but it is beyond outrageous and wrong. We confronted Metro, noting that we scrubbed the entire unit top to bottom and provided pictures refuting their claims. Metro’s only response was that they “simply disagree” and would not give any portion of the deposit back. We left everything in our apartment better than we found it and Metro still charged us for cleaning and painting, which left us outraged and disappointed in Metro. For the sake of brevity we will spare you the details of their other issues, which include broken gates, unexpected garbage fees, and allowing bears to roam through the complex (and management chasing away local officials who were seeking to help!). To put it simply: DO NOT RENT FROM METRO PROPERTY MANAGEMENT!! Even though their apartments are cheap, they still find new and creative ways to take your money in the end. PLEASE consider renting with any other company in Bridgeport, Clarksburg, Morgantown, Martinsburg, Fairmont, or Waynesburg. I hope someone finds this useful and finds a better place than Metro."
"These ladies are wonderful! I love my new home. They thought of every detail. I’ll update with more details soon. I 100% recommend this community"
"Unfriendly staff. Awful, rushed touring experience. Lackluster accomodations. Provided ample proof that I was able to afford rent, but was still denied; ironically this is the one place I'm happy has denied me. This complex is not worth the application fee."
"An establishment that is clearly only interested in taking application fees and not people who are actually interested in living there. Have been able to prove income and the requirements but still denied. Do not waste your time here"
