Reviews
"This review is for Kinder Academy of Pike place. My daughters are obsessed with everything and everyone at Pike place. I have no complaints or issues about the center and I love the fact that my girls are in such good hands when I drop them off. They send updates and pictures throughout the day and I can tell they are having a blast! I have toured other centers before committing to this one and hands down this is truly number 1. You won’t regret putting your child here."
"I couldn't be happier having my child here. When I enrolled my son a year ago we were in the process of moving. The transition from moving to a new house and a new daycare was rough on him but the women at Kinder Academy were just what we needed. They helped and took the time to make sure that my little guy was ok. They made sure that this momma knew that her little guy was fine and that he would be taken care if how I would. The next couple of weeks I was blown away by what he was learning and how fast he was picking it all up. From his letters, numbers and colors to his social skills, I was amazed. The teacher at this center they truly care. They work these kids so much and you can see it when you are there. From the activities in the classroom to seeing how these kids interact together when they are out on the playground. The teachers at Kinder Academy are truly one of a kind. They are supportive of each other and of the parents. I cant be happier that this is where I put my son. Being thankful for the teachers that are there doesn't even describe what I feel for them."
"my little one daycare KINDER ACADEMY MOON failed to give her, her breastmilk which is in a sippy cup because they didn’t know where it was located and claimed they had to “hide it” until an “auditor” left because she isn't supposed to have breastmilk as a substitution. She did have 2 snacks and water. No one called, emailed or even told us she didn’t have any milk. I had to ask upon pick up on why she still had full bottles that was in the same refrigeration from 9 hours earlier. When asked for them to provide the contacts of who is giving them this wrong information as to her not being allowed to consume breastmilk as part of the program, they would not provide it. Not a name, phone number or email. Now I want to review the sign in sheet and camera footage to see if anyone was actually there or did they make this all up. When I asked if we could escalate it to the owner or maybe have a third party mediate the director kept reiterating, they couldn't break the rules just for my situation and I signed the handbook agreeing to all rules and doubled down on potentially dis enrolling her. They stated the owner lives in California and reviews the email traffic so she is aware of what is going on, they couldn't provide the owner information either just simply said she will “look for it”. Why do you have to look for your supervisor information? If she is privy to the issue why hasn’t she reached out to resolve? I took it upon myself to reach out to someone in Harrisburg PA specifically a public health nutrition specialist under the department of education to get clarification and she was kind enough to send me attachments and supporting documents that's the OPPOSITE of what they have been telling me. I forwarded the information to the daycare and I'm still pending a response. The daycare sent documents on how to wean/transition. On the literature they sent from the food program it specifically states "breastmilk is allowed to be served to children of any age in the CACFP. She cannot consume soy due to an allergy which was documented. This is the part that makes me frustrated, no one could highlight or quote me anything in black and white on any website, saying breastmilk is not a substitution and if she unenrolled from the food program she has to unenroll from the school and again that's not in their policy handbook. It mentions the program and what it provides "if you should choose to partake". This a stress I would not want other parents to experience. The whole management team is a joke especially Kambree Love and to this date neither the owner of director has reached out"
"This is by far the worst run daycare in the area. For one...your child will likely be in a "dungeon" all day as the rooms are not lit up, have little to no windows, and are cramped due to low ceilings. I have not once ever seen a kid outside playing on their joke of a playground area. Every time I picked our children up, the "teacher" was sitting on a chair in the corner on her phone and would never acknowledge that I was taking my own child home. The icing on the cake that made us pull our children out of there and take them 20 minutes away to a MUCH better place (Kiddie Academy of South Fayette should you be wondering) was when we had paid nearly full price for several months during Covid to keep our spots and then had to pay to REMOVE them from the school. The lady that ran this place was also a little nuts. I wrote this review three years later simply because we were worried that we may have to put our children back here in an emergency and it is the ONLY daycare around that seems to always have openings (should tell you something). In the end, we have driven 40 minutes a day out of our way to a much better place. I generally only leave a review if I can leave 5 stars, this place is the worst and is very deserving of the 1 star review."
