Perry's Restaurant

"Perry’s had delicious food! My main hang up with this restaurant is the three seperate times we ordered our entrees, each time we were informed that they had just ran out of the item. It was early in a Saturday night. I was mostly upset because not only were they out of 3 different dishes, but the food we did order came out 15 min apart from each other. This made the experience rather staggered and not very relaxing. Nothing was comped off of our check until we asked. The server was lovely and once we spoke to a manager they happily took two drinks off of our check. Working in the service industry, it’s ok to run out of things but of course 3 different things was a bit of stretch. We ordered the dragonfly drinks, edamame dumplings, buttered clams, and Mac n cheese which were all delicious!"

"My roommate and I decided to check out Perry’s during restaurant week and I am so happy we did! Located on the second story of a building in Adams Morgan is this aesthetically pleasing restaurant with top notch service and food. Nate was our server and he was very accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. The food was delicious, especially the Seafood Sunomono and Beef Curry and Rice. The drinks were also wonderful. Can’t wait to come back again"

"My husband and I came here for the first time to celebrate my birthday. The staff is lovely, the restaurant is pretty, and most importantly the food was amazing. I highly recommend trying it out and I will definitely be back :) The food pictured is the udon carbonara that was delicious on a cold and rainy day!"

"Firstly, the food was excellent, the interior decor was very tasteful. Some of the best sushi I've had in recent memory. The uni Mac and cheese was great. The sake selection very diverse. We had an odd experience regarding our bill. When we looked at the menu, we noticed a message stating a 20% service fee would be added that would go to front house staff. I've seen automatic gratuities be added before, which is fine. We always want to make sure wait staff gets tipped. However, at the end of our dinner, our server made it a point to emphasize that this fee was split amongst multiple different staff, did not necessarily constitute their own tip, and otherwise they make "only minimum wage". I get it, inflation isn't good and we all have to push a little harder to get ahead or even just get by. I watched them give the same spiel to at least one other table as well. I don't even blame the server for telling us this. I'm sorry they felt that they needed to. This is clearly a management issue. Management should, ideally, pay their staff better instead of passing the buck onto the customer by setting them up for a surprise second tip. At least make the "service fee" greater so the customer doesn't have to have an awkward conversation with their server about it in the future. That's not really an aspect of my dining experience that's going to make me ever want to come back."

"We got an appetizer, entrée, and a sushi platter. All of it was full of flavor and very fresh! Servers were very professional and attentive, they were sure to make sure we were comfortable and went the extra mile to make sure there was no tonic water in their alcoholic beverages for my mother who is allergic. Everyone here is rather quiet and respectful, the atmosphere was lovely inside and on the rooftop!"
