"I wouldn't recommend this "MMA" gym to anyone in area, the name is misleading. I find Jerome very egotistical and unprofessional, his rants were prolonged and he often came off crude. He's specifically unknowledgeable and disrespectful, concerning BJJ/ Grappling. He holds no belt, rank or merit. His "MMA practice" consisted of football drills, so why waste your time? The amount of ranting Jerome commits towards every practice, about "what he would" to students who've trained in martial arts such as Brazilian Ju Jitsu. It's appalling to hear a FITNESS KICKBOXING coach go as far to say, to paying students, "I would beat the the **** out of you, if you put me in your BJJ guard." "BJJ is trash and it's students are weak." His commitment towards emphasizing his disgust towards the grappling arts, while deliberately putting students down is amazing. His lack of knowledge and outlandish comments, come off as extremely pretentious and unprofessional, to even consider calling this place a "MMA" gym or calling Jerome a "coach.""

"As a member of DCBMMA for approximately 6 years and faithfully attending classes 5 days a week (usually) I feel it is my civic duty, a PSA, as it were to respond to a recent critical review of this establishment! First, as background, I believe I was identified by the reviewer as a older gentleman obviously prone to physical abuse by the local club bullies! First and foremost this is the finest fitness pugilistic gym I have ever been part of! To say that one can get results if he or she invests even a minimal amount of effort is an understatement! Jerome is the real deal and (now) working behind the scenes, Tania does her best to continually monitor and influence all programs offered, of which there are many! It goes without saying that someone who knows nothing about brain surgery should not comment on the subject, except as a patient! Somehow I have realized that boxing, MMA, kick boxing, etc., are not pickle ball or badminton’s equivalent! It’s really simple! If you don’t want to fight, learn how to fight, or get hit, don’t join a boxing gym! While I applaud the unnecessary effort of someone to worry about my general welfare, I’d like to release them of their much maligned concern for my health! This is not to say that things don’t or won’t get intense at times, but as Coach always says to the newer guys and regular members as well…”don’t take it there if you don’t really want it to go there!” One of the problems that presents itself with newer attendees and/or members is a lack of control, which must be acquired… through practice! This is not an activity for everyone but it is up to the individual to decide for themselves if it fits, or doesn’t! If the latter is true, it’s a personal opinion and should not be publicly passed on to others as gospel! If I was to choose to attempt to become a journeyman, a hobbyist, professional or any other level of participation in fighting of any type, DCBMMA would be and is my choice! PERIOD!!"

"I was looking for a place to #1 get back in shape #2 learn the sweet science. What I have found at DCB is far greater than a boxing gym or fitness studio. From the owners to the people who attend it’s a very personal experience everyone is super friendly. Jerome and Tanya have a great thing going on here.
