Impact Sports Physical Therapy

"I recently underwent rehabilitation at Impact Sports following an Achilles tendon rupture earlier this year. Regrettably, my overall experience was disappointing. The staff at Impact Sports were consistently friendly, and I had no specific issues with the physical therapist during my recovery. However, my primary concern was the therapist's workload; my sessions often included up to three patients being assisted simultaneously. This, coupled with the facility's size, frequently left me unsupervised, leading to improper exercise form and subsequent injuries. Looking back, I realize that my inexperience with physical therapy caused me to overlook asking important questions during the initial consultation. Since my insurance did not cover physical therapy, I purchased a 10-session package without fully understanding that my sessions would not be one-on-one. It was only later, after inquiring, that I discovered the option for individual sessions, which would have been more appropriate for my needs. I have since switched to a new facility that takes a more proactive approach, and I have not suffered any further injuries. Additionally, I regret not inquiring about the therapist's specific experience with Achilles tendon rehabilitation. While I don’t question the therapist’s professionalism, I learned they had managed only a few cases similar to mine. This knowledge might have influenced my decision or prompted me to seek services at a different facility. After sustaining two significant injuries without appropriate supervision, I opted not to return and requested a refund for the remaining unused sessions. However, after a receptionist’s call, I was informed that the owner stated refunds are not available for package deals. I tried to address my concerns and request a discussion with the owner, but I have yet to receive a response."

"I went to Impact Physical Therapy to resolve lower back pain. I met with Brittany Wentzel on my first visit, and she listened as I described my symptoms and then mapped out a comprehensive treatment plan to address those issues. The plan included manual manipulation and dry needling as well as other therapies, and Brittany thoroughly explained each form of treatment and patiently answered questions. Brittany also put together an extensive exercise program to allow me to strengthen my core and improve flexibility. I was extremely pleased with the level and quality of care I received from Brittany. Should I require additional PT, I will definitely go back to Impact PT and Brittany."

Brittany throughly discussed my medical issues and designed a physical therapy plan to meet my needs. Under her PT plan I was able to improve my balance, mobility, and strength. My quality of life has greatly improved. Brittany is very knowledgeable, and professional. I recommended my son who is a college basketball player to Brittany for his PT needs. She helped him get back on the court pain free. Also, I have a very busy schedule and she was alway flexible to find available times that worked for me. Impact Sports has a great facility in Hanover, MD. It’s spacious with a wide variety of PT equipment to meet any need. I have gone to a number of Physical Therapist over the years and Brittany by far has been one of the best. I highly recommend Brittany and Impact Sports for any level of physical therapy need from minor to the complex."

"My daughter has been coming to Impact Sports Physical Therapy for over 3 months now and has been seeing Josh Plummer for her ACL and meniscus tear post-op rehab. The therpay sessions are great, and she's showing huge progress in such a short period of time. The trainer is friendly and knowledgeable. The facility has your typical training equipment, such as weights, stationary bikes, etc. I was impressed to see that it has artificial turf and basketball hoops to help train my athlete and get her ready to return-to-play.
