"The Hospitality & Tourism Law Program at American University was my favorite set of classes during law school. During the day, students are able to learn about contract drafting, hotel management agreements, and franchise disclosure documents. Furthermore, students are taught by professionals in various hospitality fields including big law firms, corporate counsel, and ownership groups. In the evening, students are able to tour various hotels, casinos, and other hospitality venues around the DC Metro area. These experiences allow students to see how to draft a hotel agreement and what that agreement eventually turns into. In conclusion, I highly recommending taking these classes if you have an interest in hospitality, transactional work, networking with hospitality professionals, or just want an exciting class experience."
