"The convenience of the grocery pickup is so helpful. But when you are lucky enough to get Marty supervising your order your produce is perfect and you get a cheerful, professional, timely experience. You have a gem in Marty!"
"They need more small carts! They used to only have a few, now it seems like they have only one or two. These carts are in high demand, I always see customers looking around for them. It's also annoying to see that the employees use a couple for their own purposes, so there are even fewer in rotation than there could be. All of the other grocery stores in town have many more small carts. GET MORE SMALL CARTS!"
"SELF-CHECKOUT SYSTEM IS A NIGHTMARE. And I am not even being a boomer about technology, I'm gen z. This isn't this particular store location's fault but the POS system for self-checkout is by far the worst out of any grocery store. Let me systematically dissect why this is the case: 1. There is no way to toggle how loud the speaker is, and it is always obnoxiously yelling at you on full blast. 2. I HATE how it says OUT LOUD the name of the item you're buying. "Move your BANANAS to the bag. Move your BAGELS to the bag." I don't want people to know the items I am buying. I know that sounds weird but I get social anxiety and some people are judgemental for what you buy. 3. FORCES you to move EACH ITEM to the bagging area, after each scan. For example, at most stores if you buy 2 packs of gum, you can hold then both in your hands, or scan one then scan another. Then, bag them. At this store you MUST scan each pack of gum individually and then bag them individually or the system will sound off on you to "PLEASE PLACE YOUR ITEM IN THE BAGGING AREA". Sometimes, the alert goes away, but other times you have to wait for the store attendant to unlock the system. If you're worried about theft, hire more cashiers. I'd have gone to a regular cashier (which I never do, I would only do that here though since self checkout is so bad), but there was only one lane open with a couple people in line and one was a handicap woman with a full cart, I would feel like a jackass making a cashier bag my groceries as an able bodied person right after they rung up someone who actually needs help. I'm typing this from the store parking lot because I'm so enraged. I hardly ever go here, Safeway is closer and even if its mre expensive, I can go there in a pinch and then cheaper stores like WalMart or Global Foods when I feel like going further away. NONE of those stores have an obnoxious speaker/bagging sensitivity! Right when I first pulled in here, I remembered the negative emotions associated with this place but it was too late. The association is now clear though, I will remember it. I AM NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN. The social anxiety and engagement is too much."
"I’ve gotta give a shoutout to Laura at the store – seriously, she’s a lifesaver! Was on the hunt for something to fix these desert-dry elbows of mine, and she not only pointed me to the perfect product but also came to my rescue when the self-checkout played hard to get. Patient, friendly, and just all-around awesome. Thumbs up, Laura!"
"My normal preferred grocery (despite competitors being a bit closer). Generally good selections. Good sales. Produce is hit or miss on freshness; competitors often better. Milk stays fresh beyond expiration better than competitors. Store brands reliably good quality."
