TownePlace Suites by Marriott Clinton at Joint Base Andrews

"Everything went "Alright", stayed for 3 nights, right off the bat, as we went into the master bedroom we saw, according to Steve was "Japanese Beatles" (Ladybugs) on our window frame, window, and wall. There were 10 bugs there. We killed them, but then more came back. A gentleman came into vacuum the rest and spray the window. The rooms were nice, breakfast was good, when we were about to check out my kids and I went back upstairs to get the rest of our stuff but in doing so, my key card didn't work at 11:25, called downstairs and Steve told me I had to go back downstairs to get another card. As I went down to give him the keys and told him what happened, he told me that the clocks on the doors were not updated for daylight savings time and that maintenance had to update them. I said that "after a month it hadn't been updated" didn't seem reasonable to me but whatever. Could not get any water or items that we needed from the front desk to purchase because Steve said they were not to spend more money until the next year. "You're litterly losing money then gaining by not having things for customers to buy. The pictures on the website didn't really express what we saw when we went inside the room. I'm not really excited about it."

"Front desk was so nice and answered all my questions. checking in was quick and easy. Room was very clean no complaints. Area was quiet and parking lot was clean."

"I stayed here for a brief work trip. Al, at the front desk, was awesome! He was polite, extremely helpful, and went above and beyond with his customer service. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was a slight stuffiness to the room and the layout for the tv was strange, but overall I had a great stay."

"There's a lot going on with this review, so bear with me... This is a decent looking, and relatively newer looking hotel, however the fresh paint becomes questionable when you walk the hallways and see cracks along seams and corners in the walls. Once in my room it was a pretty standard TownePlace, so no surprises. But what did catch my attention was the friend I made in the bathroom, we'll call him Fred, he was a cochroach who liked to say hello to me as I used the bathroom. Now I get it, bugs happen, roaches happen, but this has been my first experience in 20+ years of Marriott where I've seen one. I'm now concerned about having eggs in my luggage and infesting my home upon return. Now on the plus side I can say the staff was very polite and nice, and even offered a great list of local restaurants that did not disappoint. The location isn't terrible, but I'd only recommend it if visiting someone in the area or Andrews AFB."

"Very friendly, helpful service! Housekeeping, breakfast service, front desk -- everyone was very nice. An OK, mid-grade business class hotel. -- Good location if doing business on Joint Base Andrews -- The property could use a refresh and more attention to repairs (floor lamp in 414 is wobbly and in need of replacement.) -- Only a couple annoying indicator lights when most hotel rooms have a dozen -- Parking lot security needs to be addressed. During my two-day stay, the gate arms to the parking lot were never down. Useless from a security perspective -- Breakfast eggs were very good; light and tasty (not the usual reheated cardboard eggs)"
