"we went to MAGfest in DC, and this was the perfect place for us to stay. it was only 10 min away from where we needed to be, free breakfast every morning, and checkout was easy. absolutely no complaints here, would use this again for future conventions."

"The room was very quiet, even though I was on the ground level right by the front parking lot. I zipped the mattress protector back and inspected the mattress. It was very clean and it looked like it was new or simply cleaned very well. The mattress was not the most comfortable. I didn't have any trouble sleeping, but when I woke up and got out of bed, I could feel a little discomfort. The mattress just wasn't thick enough for me."

"The only positive to this place is that I didn’t see any bed bugs…but I assume that is bc even bed bugs have higher standards. My room smelled like straight up urine. Whatever they wash the linens in was so chemically strong my kids, partner and self couldn’t sleep and broke out in rashes. I was hit with a $100 accidentals charge at check in and was told I would get it back 5-7 business days after check out- which was ridiculous. I stayed at a HILTON that was 10x nicer two weeks before and was only charged $50 for accidentals which never even showed up on my transactions. The room was already damaged so I was very worried that they were going to pin existing damages on me. There was a towel hook literally hanging out of the drywall in the bathroom, bed sheets were ripped, the lamp shade had something spilled all over it. After checking in I took pictures and asked the front desk clerk to please notate my room so I wouldn’t be charged for these damages and she told me I had to speak to the manager when he came in the next morning. I had an early flight the next morning and did not want to deal with that- specially after not sleeping all night. The evaluator sounded like an actual death trap waiting to happen, so during my one night in hell- I had to take the stairs to get up and down. There were cigarette ashes and butts all inside the INDOOR/CARPETED stairwell, and the hallways smelled moldy and like stale cigarettes. I have stayed at many hotels and Air BBS that were leagues nicer for comparable prices. This one night was enough to convince me to never to stay with this chain again. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere."

"My family visited this hotel and used it as a base for our excursions to DC. The location of the hotel is great and a 20min drive or 25min metro ride to DC. The metro station is very close, probably a 15min walk. The hotel itself is your basic run of the mill hotel. Nothing fancy, no pool, small weight room and the walls are very thin. Be prepared to hear people talking in the hallway or moving around upstairs. The beds were comfortable but the room had a dingy smell like there was standing water somewhere. The breakfasts at the hotel are decent and were probably the highlight of the place. Having a thermostat in the room was also great. One thing I have to mention is Ashley at the hotel was amazing. She was very helpful with any information about how to get to DC and any other questions we had."

The room overall was very clean, but I did find a few hairs in the shower. I wiped down all of the surfaces and found them to be pretty clean. The breakfast was pretty good and the location was perfect. It was very close to my church. Lastly, I was concerned about the front desk staff, due to the reviews about one particular staff, but I did not have this experience. I'm grateful I chose to stay at Country Inn and Suites. It added to my peaceful and productive time away from home."
