They were quick to answer my questions & to get me on their schedule. My horse had some issues that needed addressing & Kara is so detailed with measurements, etc., I was able to get a saddle that I think is perfect for her & also for me. "Kara is the ONLY saddlefitter I trust in the state. She is always so professional, and takes the time to really do right by the horse and rider. She is also a real horse person - every horse I've had her work on, even the flighty or recently started ones, are calm for their fitting. In all of my dealings with her I have found her to be 100% honest and transparent. I've even had her walk away from a potential $6k sale because she just didn't feel that any of the saddles she had were the right match for the horse and rider - how many saddle fitters would do that?! More often than not they would try to shoehorn you into something completely unsuitable because they are salesmen and not true horsemen. She has also been great working with less common saddles I've had like Hennigs. I'm always so impressed by the breadth and depth of her knowledge. Don't go anywhere else!"

"Skylands Saddlery has been absolutely wonderful! My correspondence were with Jill the entire time. I bought a dressage saddle from them and while I was in the trial period my horse was diagnosed with Wobblers before I even got to try the saddle. Jill was extremely empathetic and understanding when I expressed I was returning it. During the course of two weeks I decided not to return it and keep it for the next horse. Jill sent me a follow up email even though I had totally neglected to share this information with them still allowing me to return the saddle (much past the trial period). I am blown away by the fantastic customer service she offered me. I will continue to do business with them and will also refer all my friends to them. They have been great, punctual, and the saddle arrived in excellent condition."

"Feel ripped off, bought a used saddle from them - yes, the trial ran out it turns out the tree was broken. I had the brands saddle fitter check it out, he said the saddle had the broken tree for a long time, the seat had been replaced. Skylands saddlery had said they check their consignment saddles for visible conditions and said on Ebay that the condition was good. Be wary, do not buy from this company, do not buy used saddles online. Have a professional saddle fitter help you find the right saddle for your horse, your discipline and you. Yes the trial lapsed, but Skylands saddlery does not get away that easy in my opinion. They had their eyes on the saddle first, claim they have professionals evaluating used saddles, and so bare responsibility for taking a saddle on consignment with a visible broken tree. So yes, there is no doubt I feel ripped off. I also see reviews of where other people felt the same. I am now wiser for this unfortunate experience, out the money, but at least I am way more educated about this. I will not ever recommend this business, their service is really a sham, if a business does not stand behind their products, used or otherwise, their reputation is shot. Please click on by."
