"I never ever have problems with this facility, except for last evening 12/6/22. 5:15 pm I had an appointment and brought my support person and the lady behind desk almost refused giving her a mask because she wasn’t the patient.. asked her to just wait in the lobby, now mind you, there was 1 other lady in waiting area with me. I told her No, she is NOT waiting outside in the lobby as she’s my support person and you either give her a mask or she sits next to me without one.. this is NOT the pandemic anymore.. She needs evaluation for her attitude towards patients… Absolutely miserable. Btw the only reason I have two stars is the staff I. Back we’re great."
"Wow! The MRI technician and support staff here are amazing. I was greeted by the very kind woman with a soft spoken voice and a lovely braid in her hair. She helped to assure me that I would be okay, as I was very nervous for my test. The woman who did my MRI was WONDERFUL! She was beyond kind, and she actually finished up my procedure (with extra pictures!!!) in less time than I expected. She made the experience quick and easy. Also, she got great pictures for me without contrast. This place helped me get over my phobia of MRI"
"I’ve always had a good experience here. Even when I’m just a walk-in, I’m taken care of quickly and kindly. Folks working in the medical field—whether a doctor, a secretary, a technician—might not realize how much their kindness means to some of us with fears and phobias. Medical stuff puts most people on edge, so when the staff are understanding and patient, it means the world. So thank you for that."
"THE WORST!!!! I arrived there at 7:05 & signed in on the kiosk, my appt was at 7 15. At 7:34 I went to the desk & asked if there was something wrong with the kiosk, since everyone else was taken, after me. The woman behind the desk said, my appt was for 7:30, (it was written on my script 7:15) she said I was late & had to reschedule, meanwhile I had been there since 7:05. She wouldn't listen to what i had to said. They never called my name. I will never go there again, sad with people can't do their job! I wouldn't even give them 1 star, but that was the only way to sign in."
"I went here initially with a referral from my primary on account of lasting right side pain. Previously, I had not been to a doctor for anything serious in my life and a bit unfamiliar with the insurance process. But I did think to ask them if they took my insurance, Highmark. The lady who took my information asked my several questions about it and, in the end, answered "yes, we take this insurance." I then learned that Highmark was part of the AHN network and that this facility was a UPMC based one and that meant that no, they don't take this insurance. I mean, they will process the bill through the insurance but they don't reimburse as they are competitors. You would think that the person in billing would have known this or at least thought to mention that I need to look into it. After having a CT scan done, I was billed $8,000 to my insurance which rejected the service. On top of that, she had me get an endoscopy at another UPMC facility which I asked again if they took my insurance and they said yes. You can see where this is going. That was an $8600 bill to me on top of the 8000. I was in considerable pain at the time but if anyone at any point had said "we MIGHT take your insurance but check with them first," I would have called and found a different place to go. Ironically, these bills are so much of a hardship that I have to cancel my insurance to afford them. For one months insurance premium, I purchased a handgun. If the pain returns and is bad enough, that is the solution I can now afford. Welcome to America."
