Goodstone Inn & Restaurant

"Restaurant was very good, had dinner on New Year’s Eve. Beautiful dining space and good service. Inn service was very poor. No one was there to check us in upon arrival and had to wait for quite awhile for anyone to show up. We were told there was continental breakfast included but weren’t told the times. We tried calling in the morning to see what the breakfast times were, but no one answered the phone. Then we arrived for breakfast at 10:15am and were told by the inn keeper that breakfast was no longer available while she was actively buttering her freshly toasted bread for her breakfast and eating right in front of us. :( Also, shower was not comfortable and bedding was very hot."

"I have been at the Goodstone Inn a couple years ago and it was beautiful well taken care of and the food was so delicious. The breakfast was phenomenal. They had a great chef that did a wonderful job came out and checked on you all the time and made special waffles if you wanted them. I went to the Goodstone in the first week of December 2023 this year I reserved the same room, which is the stallion room with a friend and are dogs. The reason why we picked this room is because there’s a pullout couch, so it’s a two bedroom when we got there they did not have a pullout couch anymore. They just had a regular old couch and came in with a cot. I was very disappointed when we went to breakfast, there was a buffet the eggs were dry and hard, and there was no service, needless to say I was really disappointed and what has gone down that this beautiful place. I hope they get their act together soon."

"My cousin recently had her wedding celebration at Goodstone. The town of Middleburg is charming but this property especially is picturesque. The different rooms and manors on property are stunning and perfect for photos / getting ready. The food is delicious and the service is spectacular. Vincent especially went above and beyond to make sure the bride and her family had a stress free time weekend - he was always so upbeat and willing to help in any way he could."

"During the weekend I decided to visit along with my family for lunch. Prior to arriving at the restaurant we planned ahead of time as the drive was one hour. We called ahead of time to confirm the hours for dining and confirmed by staff when we arrived we would be able to dine for lunch as long as we arrived prior to 2pm. When my family and I arrived we were notified we were not able to dine in. On top of it, the staff demeanor was very curt and rude. The staff came across very racist. I would not recommend to visit or dine in at this restaurant if you are of color or minority. The disrespect and attitude of staff was unwarranted. I would neither dine here nor fund racist behavior and staff. We have dined many fine dining restaurants and this one definitely disappointed. Our family went to another fine dining venue nearby- which served us with respect and treated us fairly. Definitely do not recommend this place. I wouldn’t even give them a 1 star."
