"I made an appointment at this nail salon and specified Pink and White Gel. When I arrived I inquired how much it was, the price kept changing between $55 to $65. What I ended up with was a Pink Gel with a White nail art line with a layer of clear gel polish on top. What do you think? Was I cheated? When did Pink and White Gel become this and you want to charge $65.00 for a Basic French Manicure? As a licensed manicurist in NJ I am aware of what is required and what should be used when a customer requests a French Manicure or specifies Pink and White Gel Manicure. After much debate about being over charged they relented and charged me $50.00. Please note LCN, IBD, Creative Nail all have a Pink and White Gel System that does not consist of Nail Art White. As a consumer and licensed professional I feel a little cheated and think the salon needs to reevaluate what they are portraying to the public. Pink and White Gel would be more expensive as it's more time consuming and worth the additional fee. A pink gel with a white nail art tip does not. You should be ashamed of yourself for over charging the consumer. Careful all and don't be afraid to speak up for yourself if you feel cheated. You should feel beautiful when you leave and love your nails for the amount you are paying. The only kudos I can give is the 4% discount for paying cash."
