Sakura Japanese Steak House 54 Stone Mountain Lane, Elkins, WV 26241

"Summary: Overpriced and disappointing. I don't know if it's part of the Sakura chain, but it's one of the grossest facilities I've been to. Food wasn't bad but wasn't even mediocre. Stale seaweed wraps on the sushi, fried rice taste like I made it (which isn't bad just not the quality found in a restaurant), undercooked tempura vegetables, and overcooked flavorless chicken in the teriyaki bento (sauce was added after cooking). If this is what passes for nearly five stars in Elkins, I think I'll stay home. I truly feel sorry for the people who left re iews saying how great the place was, such low standards. Positives: Some of the food was pleasant even if off. Waitress was nice and attentive."

"We stopped in after reading the reviews. It was not busy since it's a Monday night and we were greeted immediately. Everything came out quick and really fresh tasting. The tempura was light and crisp and everything was cooked well. We also had a pink lady roll, but we ate that up before I remembered to take a picture! This was a great find."

"Amazing! Very speedy service. The food is amazing. I always order the shrimp and salmon hibachi and there is nothing like it. The salmon melts in your mouth and the seasoning is something I have failed to replicate at home. You also get a lot of food considering the price. I always end up taking food home with me. I am not someone who likes eating leftover food but I make an acceptation to this because it still tastes good even after it's cold. The staff there is very nice and polite. A lot of restaurant waiters tend to act like you're a convenience and it always makes me feel bad. But the staff there is so nice I feel comfortable ordering. If you're autistic and have sensory problems this is the place for you. It's always quiet. I have trouble ordering at some places because of a lot of factors. I end up having to have someone else order for me or type out what I want. Not here. People say I am a different person at this restaurant because of how comfortable I am ordering there. Best place to have a nice quiet meal."

"Sakura is a regular spot for us! We LOVE having Sakura available and have never been disappointed with anything we've ordered! They have always been super accommodating if it comes to possibly switching something out for us!"

"10/20/2021: We drove for about 45 minutes from Canaan Valley Resort to Sakura for dinner. The restaurant setting is quite simple, nothing fancy. The food displayed nicely and tasted good. But for the price, I still give it a 5-star!"
