Food Lion

"This place the closest to my house, but definitely not my first choice of stores unless I just need something quick. The prices aren't sky high, but you will pay more than other grocery stores. The cashiers are always very nice though. They are the only reason the store got 3 stars instead of 1 or 2. As far as cleanliness, that also gets a 3. The produce and meats are hit or miss. If you can catch the sales, it's worth going. The shopping center itself is not a place I go, especially at night. Like I said, the store is very close (within a half mile), but not my first choice in grocery stores. If you do happen to go in, check to see if Steve or Darlene are working as cashiers. Either one will take amazing care of you. Steve is a little more quiet, but has been there forever & is the sweetest man you'll ever meet. Darlene normally works self checkout & knows just about every regular customer."

"I pretty much only shop at Food Lion. It’s somewhat lower priced then everywhere else. Certain things are higher then others but with the savings card it evens out! I literally save at least $40 or more a trip. And the people are super friendly and nice. My one issue with them is their machines seem to always have problems. The self checkout machines have major issues to be fixed. Once, all the machines would not accept cards (after I had rung up a lot of stuff)! Then, another time I scanned a coupon and it would not register that I inserted the coupon. I strictly stick to going to an employee now to check out. It might be a tad slower then a working self checkout machine but hey at least I can talk to the cashier! They love when I bring my son in, he will talk their ears off about EVERYTHING! I love it! I give them 5 stars because before the machine issues they were great and if you don’t use them, NO ISSUES!"

"Went on a Sunday and, wow, it was crowded. It was like half the town was there. The rating is somewhat unfair as I couldn't give it a 1 because I didn't go through the entire store and the cashiers were working their butts off but I couldn't give it a 5 because I hadn't gone through the entire store to check out all of the departments and compare prices, so I gave the review something in the middle."

"1st visit to a Maryland business. Clean for the most part. Not overall impressive. Definitely not as nice as a Publix or a Whole Foods. You can get all your basics here. I would definitely shop here if it were the oonly grocery store available. There are many worse places to visit. The shelves looked full and the associates were really nice."
