"If you’re from Erie then you know the deal and don’t even need to read this review. If you’re not, hopefully you will have the opportunity to try some. Trust me - you may have had something similar but if you haven’t been to Erie you haven’t had a pepperoni ball. They are to Erie what wings are to Buffalo. And FYI wings are eaten with bleu cheese - period. I ordered some pepperoni balls and had them shipped to me after visiting my hometown and forgetting Stanganelli’s is closed on Mondays and I wasn’t able to grab some. They arrived within a couple of days and as always they are simply amazing. There’s a few places in Erie to score this hometown delicacy but Stanganelli’s is my favorite (hands down!) I ordered some pepperoni and cheese, ham and cheese, and hot cheese, jalapeño, and pepperoni this time. Delicious! Makes me miss my hometown something fierce! Thank for Stanganelli’s!"
