"Provider stood us up with no communication - I had to call two different numbers to find out a half hour after our appointment start time that it wouldn't be happening."
"Overall, this place is great! They were able to get our son diagnosed with autism in a timely manner (once we made the top of the list, took over 12 months). The specialists involved in his diagnoses were very friendly and well-informed, especially Dr. Tiffany Lin. From there on out, okay service. We took our son to the feeding clinic, and it was not what I expected. First, they put us in a typical doctor's office, which was fine. But once the specialists started pouring in, it became too much for my son. Five specialists in a doctor's office all staring at him. He ended up having a breakdown, which baffled the doctor examining him. Dude, you work with children with disabilities. How did you not see this coming? They eventually concluded that while he was growing at a great rate and had a better palette than most kids they see, they still suggested enrolling him into their 8 week in-patient program. 8 weeks of sleeping in a hospital setting, only one parent, and no siblings. Plus, he'd be pulled out of school. That was their only option. No weekly visits or anything. They're reasoning...because we had the "Cadillac" of insurances. Then, once that was suggested, four of the five left the room, leaving their closer behind. It started becoming more of a sales pitch than anything. We eventually turned them down. Our son is thriving in school and is eating more nutritional food....at home without the stress of a roommate (oh yeah, he'd have one of those as well.) I could only give whole stars, otherwise I'd lean more towards 3.5. I will praise the management of getting into the parking garage and to the appointments. Everyone was well organized. Super organized. We loved that! But, we probably won't be back mostly due to distance. We decided to try more local doctors to help our son out."
"Took a year to get an appointment with someone who was supposedly the best neurologist for my condition in the entire country. Never even got to actually see the doctor herself- she was on an iPad on a stand with wheels (KKI told me specifically that they wanted me to come in person but the doctor got to attend from her office via zoom call?). Within 10 minutes she accused me of faking my condition (which I had already been diagnosed with for 6 years) and sent me home. After talking to her other former patients I discovered she does this quite often. Absolutely disgusting. I would never recommend anyone to go here."
"Very unorganized and it feels like each clinic is in a different building. Speech therapist, Mary, did not fulfill what she promised for my child and it felt like we barely scratched the surface on what we could have done to see more improvements. Appointments are always scattered and there is barely any attempts to try stacking appointments in the same day, especially if you live far to make it convenient for the patient. It took over a year and a half to get haphazard service and getting calls for appointments that our current insurance won't even cover. A waste."
"Parents and guardians please be heavily involved in your child’s care while here. After six days, I removed my son from this facility. I later read that he was given medications without my consent (that I specifically objected to) and used physical restraint methods on his despite him having no prior history of a need for it. He came here for physical therapy, not behavioral needs, but left traumatized. I was threatened with legal action because I got so paranoid that I started taking photos of his meals and room conditions. However, if they want to sue me, go for it. They treat these kids in the hospital who don’t have parents to support them like animals. They as a result didn’t know how to handle a parent who will be heavily involved in their child’s care."
