Located at 100 Dolphin Street in Baltimore, Maryland, the MICA – Dolphin Design Center is a cutting-edge institution designed specifically for artists and designers of the 21st Century. The 25,000 square-foot building, created by the renowned architectural firm GWWO, provides a dynamic space for creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship.
The Center offers state-of-the-art facilities for Game Design, Interactive Arts, Game Arts, Sound Art, Product Design, and Architectural Design. Students have access to a Game Lab, seminar spaces, individual workspaces, meeting areas, and display options including touch-sensitive smart boards. The Center also features a traditional fabrication lab on the first floor and digital fabrication space on the fourth floor.
Open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight) on weekdays and 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekends, the Dolphin Design Center provides students with the tools and equipment they need to develop their professional and technical skills. The building's layout encourages collaboration among students from different programs, fostering a creative and innovative environment.
