"PROUD GRADUATE!!! Graduated with honors! Man.... I can't put into words my experience with the school. I was MORE than pleased with the help, the team effort from SOME of the students. There are certain apples.... but hey... it's what YOU put into it. I was personally not treated as a "nothing". I was treated like a human being. A person. I was supported by the school 100%. I even went off to college and I am still in school pursuing my career as a Aerospace and Planetary Scientist. GO KNIGHTS!"

"Disclaimer: Thus review is entirely based on the building. I'm not a student here so I can't speak to the education or teaching staff, but I did spend a day here using the building for City Year DC on MLK Day. It's safe to say that Ballou High School may be the best looking high school in America. They recently build a new campus and it's huge and super nice! Everything is so light and inviting with large windows everywhere. The campus has a day care, gym, and even a giant courtyard in the center of the main building. The football field is amazing and if you haven't been to a Ballou football game, you need to! They have one of the best marching bands in the country and you'll never hear anything quite like it. They have even been on the Ellen Show a few times. They are that good! One of my good friends, Mr. Faber, is a teacher here and he speaks very highly of the students here. I'm a huge Ballou fan!"

"I attended Ballou Stay in 2003, and I can honestly say it was worth it. My advisor was outstanding, she made sure I got the work done in a timely manner, she took sick and was still able to provide her services to me by allowing me to come to her home. I would highly recommend any adult that want to go back and get their diploma to do so at Ballou Stay High School."
