"Deal is a great place to make friends. Also great for clubs and easy to make friends. But the teachers are a major flaw , and your child will be found under pressure with the terrible guidelines, dress code, and schedule"
"I attend deal currently and I have read some of the reviews. Deal is the best middle school in the district of columbia but people are saying that they have been bullied or ridiculed for no reason which is not true. I read a review where a former student said they were bullied for a medical condition, but I have asked over 150 students about this said medical condition and no one knew about. People try to find a place at this school and some think that if they bully everyone then they will be on top, but that is not how this middle school works. I can assure everyone that if they knew about the medical condition no one would bully that innocent girl. In 6th and 7th grade everyone is still trying to find out what their place is, so it is unfair to rate the whole school poorly when if she would have stayed for 8th she would not be ridiculed. Also, however people want to interact with their friends should be respected. If you and your friend have a game when you call each other retards, it doesn't make it okay but if they believe that it is just a game then it shouldn't be taken seriously until someone has been hurt. During my 2 and counting years here I have experienced amazing things that 100% make me believe that Deal is the best middle school in the District of Columbia."
"Alice Deal has been a great experience for my son and he's happy to attend. Although it is a very large school, they seem to manage it all with breaking off into smaller teams. It's easy to get lost in the mix so you just have to work at taking responsibility for getting involved and stepping up to ask for help when you need it."
