Although the doctor failed to follow through (contacted the wrong pharmacy)…Gwendolyn did her part - much appreciated! Hopefully, this will be rectified for the following refills. She is a true asset to UM CRMG-Primary Care!"

"I have been with this doctor’s office for awhile. My first experience with Dr. Childress was absolutely horrible. The staff at the time convinced me to see the PA..The PA was the best. Better than the doctor. But she recently left the practice. Yesterday while at the hospital for rehab therapy my bp was 197/100. Llast night it was 195/100 and again this morning. I called Dr. Childress office. I was told I could see the doctor next week after the holiday. I need a new primary doctor. My health requires it!!!"

"While I appreciate the medical profession, I do not feel that my concerns were addressed. I actually felt that my concerns were dismissed and treated like I don't have underlying issues....which I do and I wasn't even asked. I felt like I was hurried to exit the building (they do close early). I will be researching other providers that might actually take some time and not treat me like a number."

"I have been a patiant of Dr Childress for quite some time. It is very difficult to get an appointment here, if I am hurt or sick andf I call I am told the next appointment is in several weeks so I end up going to an urgent care, what good is a doctor thats not available when needed? When I do get an appointment the receptionest is rude and makes me stand and wait on whatever she is doing despite the fact I have a physical handicap and she is sitting all comfortable in her chair. I have never been seen on time, I usuaIly wait between 30 and 90 minutes to actually see the doctor, the seem to think their time is more important than mine. I had a surgery schedualed and Dr Childress cleared me for surgery and didn't notice my blood sugar of 399. My surgery was canceled by the hospital. I had to come and and get another round of tests whicch were even more dire. I was required to come in to discuss my test results. My appointment was 30 minutes behind. I was given a prescription for oral medication and advised to take a class on diabetes at the local hospital, no advice on diet no phamplets. I was told to come back in 3 months to have more bloodwork. I asked about my surgery, told him I was in a lot of pain daily, I was told I needed to do something about the diabetes first and I should keep a log and we could discuss things again in a few weeks. I feel like my insurance and I are goinmg to be charged the maximum for minimum effort. I feel unimportant andf ignored, my pain my health problems. I need to find a new doctor."
