The Maven Academy

"Middle school is always hard, but by the end of 6th grade my daughter was so unhappy with the chaos and mean girl culture that we decided to make a change. The Maven Academy has provided the alternative we were seeking. It is a supportive, calm and positive environment with a one-room schoolhouse vibe. Cell phones are collected at the start of each day so that kids will focus on their schoolwork, not their instagram feed. My daughter feels safe, appreciated and respected by her teachers and her peers. The 3-day school week requires a self-disciplined approach to homework but provides great opportunity to explore other interests outside of school. The education here is what you make of it - the teachers give you the tools you need to be successful, but it is up to you to do the work. If you are considering Maven, you should stop by for a shadow day to check it out. Because of the Maven Academy, my daughter finally likes school again - and that has made all the difference in our family."
