"SEND YOUR CHILD HERE! This is the best family school i have ever been to. Leadership Principal Dr. Smith did her thing with choosing the staff. It is an inviting school including after care . Ms Benton is amazing, it gets no better then her, trust me. She goes beyond watching your child until they are picked up. Its loving them, teaching them and caring for them. Every school has issues however this school has little to none and my eyes . The only upset is that my child can not attend due to oversight which should've been accommodated in some way, since my child had gone the entire school year with no issues. This was a total let down and unfair.... I'm upset that he won't be in this warm environment with those he love. . I will truly miss these people. Ms Liran & Ms Hanna true angels. The have love beyond where love goes..."
"Amazing to see how much the staff cares about the children. I love the art work on the walls, the Hebrew songs I hear the children sing, and the feeling of community with teachers, students, and families. But most of all, I love how children have STEM integrated into their lessons."
"My daughter is finishing up her second year at Sela and I cannot say enough positive things about the school. The teachers and administrators truly care about creating the most positive learning environment for the students. The outstanding teacher to student ratio and thorough communication with the parents (via meetings, emails, phone calls, class websites, handouts, surveys) gives this public school a private school feeling and shows the school truly cares about serving its students and their families. My daughter's Hebrew comprehension and speaking ability is unbelievable as is the fact that she is already beginning to read in English even before beginning kindergarten. I can't recommend Sela enough and I would give it more than five stars if I could!"
"My child has been at Sela since its inception. His love of learning is boundless. He has become an excellent reader and he is highly compassionate and understanding of differences among his classmates. The staff is caring and hardworking. My child's Hebrew skills are excellent. An excellent school."
"This is my child's first year in school, he started PK4 this year so he had a hard time adjusting to staff that he was not originally used to. He came from a daycare center that he attended since a baby as early as four months old, so the change was quite hard on him. He adjusted pretty well to the classroom but he was having a hard time in after care; the extended program. Weekly, I would receive a call from someone working in the extended program about him being disruptive in after care, or him running around. They would ask me to come and pick him up early which really inconvenienced me with my work schedule. I cannot run every time the schools calls to come pick him up, especially within an hour of the schools original let out time. Which is why I chose before and after care to work with my schedule. Eventually the third call led up to him being kicked out of the extended program and also being labeled as a "trouble child" with "behavioral issues" remind you my son is four years old. They are also constantly excluding him from things and picking him out which can cause a child to feel embarrassed in front of class mates. He complains everyday about the school and often cries to go. I have no choice but to keep him in school for the rest of the year. When I asked to appeal the termination they denied, and also offered my four year old son counseling. What!? I have been so disappointed with the staff, the teachers are not that experienced and the directors are very unprofessional about handling business. I chose this school because my son is very smart, he reads and spells very well, and has also came from a bilingual daycare. He enjoys learning Hebrew and is actually one of the brightest students in his class from what his teacher tells me. I was rooting for this school but they should be more careful with choosing well equipped and trained staff who are able to handle four year old's and don't expect children to want to sit the entire time in after care. My child will not be returning next year unfortunately."
