"The character of a place starts with the first person contacted. When the purpose of a place is to design, there needs to be a first contact person who is about ideas and is helpful in getting ideas to where they can do what that idea has designs to accomplish. Baltimore Design School leadership needs to reconsider who they have answering phones. I am a hydro-power electrical engineer and I wanted to inquire about using Baltimore Design School's huge roof water tank as a source of free hydro-powered electricity for the entire building (and then some..). The woman who answered the phone was most unhelpful and it was as if I was burdening her time to ask a few questions that would lead to a significant improvement in her and her co-worker's lives. To The Baltimore Design School leadership, please staff your first contact person as somebody who likes new ideas, because it is new ideas that change the world."

"DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE! In the years I've been here, I've learned that BDS false advertises their program. It claims to be an "art school", but only provides one art class. They're so focused on your academics, that they don't even help with improving art skills. About 85% of the school doesn't even care about art. Then watch out for the staff. Every year they decide to bring in an inexperienced teacher that will be your downfall for that year, only to remove them after the year is over and repeat the cycle. I remember a school year when everyone was so stressed, that you'd see a couple of kids having fainting spells, (including me). They don't care about the students, only the numbers."
