"Unfortunately, I feel obligated to leave a low rating and criticism of Luminis Health in Easton. Specifically, Dr. Gayle Hopper. Without delving too deep into my personal situation, I was seen by Dr. Hopper in the December of 2022 and had a number of labs ordered. Because of the results, I was prescribed antibiotics and told I should be fine as long as symptoms do not persist. In January 2023, I returned for a Physical exam to be cleared for a cross-country bike ride (why this couldn't be done at the same time as the other appointment, I do not know... especially since Dr. Hopper barely read the document I provided and then only listened to me breathe for about 20 seconds before clearing me). At this exam, I asked to have very basic labs taken just to be certain my previous condition had cleared. These labs showed that it had and Dr. Hopper told me I was all good. Some days later I see that the same exact labs that were ordered in December were ordered again without my knowledge and for no reason since it was already determined I was in the clear. Yesterday I finally paid the bill for those labs after trying but failing to explain the absurdity of the situation. Throughout the process, Dr. Hopper never spoke to me personally; I only dealt with the nurse in her office, the lab company, and patient advocacy. It's clear she made a mistake but was not willing to own up to it or care enough to speak with me directly. All the other staff I spoke with were kind and helpful but I'm quite frustrated to have to pay for something totally unnecessary. More importantly, though, I'm concerned about the level of care (or lack thereof) provided to me and want to share this with others who may receive similar treatment. As I alluded to, the physical exam was no better than what I could have received from a friend who knows how to take heart rate and blood pressure. Plus, it felt like I was being shoved out of the office as quickly as possible. This situation has dampened my confidence in the current healthcare system where it seems patients are not seen as whole individual humans. I hope this review has been helpful. Thanks for reading."
"Gave them a call today to be set up as a new patient as I was TOLD by a receptionist last week to do so. The lady I spoke with automatically got an attitude telling me that she doesn’t know why I was told that because they aren’t taking new patients. It was like she was getting mad at me for the lack of communication they have at the office. Very unprofessional."
"Good service and a very professional office. I have 0 complaints. I have been going there for about 7 years now. I mostly see PAs as I am in fairly good health. I like the in house blood draw setup- they have professionals that just draw blood and administer shots, etc (no new to drawing blood employees fishing for my veins with a needle). Keep up the good work!"
"We have gone here for a few years now and love this Dr’s office! Everyone from front desk to (all) the Dr’s are great! When we need them they’ve been there! Prompt appointments, never feel rushed... they still give care, not only prescriptions. Love that they have a 2nd office now too. (Can make it easier to get an appointment if your flexible to both locations)"
"I would like to share my recent experience at River Family Physicians. I had an appointment yesterday with a Physician's Assistant by the name of Dominic. I was VERY disappointed in the quality of care he provided, or should I say, that he did not provide. He basically invalidated and dismissed all the issues I had. Understandably, I was very upset and began crying because of my frustration over not being "heard" and, again, that was completely ignored by him in the way that he pretended that it was not even happening, as if I wasnt very upset and crying. He moved right along w absolutely no concern, leading me to believe that he is an unfeeling and uncaring supposed "health care provider" with no bedside manner and no respect for the patient. I have also been suffering from chronic, long-term pain and when I asked for some help with pain relief, he basically laughed at me, as If this was an outrageous request. Now, I am quite aware of the "epidemic" in our country when it comes to opiod abuse but there actually are people, like me, who suffer from debilitating pain on a daily basis, that can benefit and find relief and begin to experience quality of life again from one of these now "taboo" medicines. I resent his dismissal of me as I feel I was treated as a lying, degenerate, drug-seeking addict instead of as a patient who is suffering from indescribable pain who was looking to him for answers and solutions. Looking to my health-care provider for understanding, compassion and validation seems to be the absurd expectation here. I consider the level of treatment that I received from Dominic to be unacceptable and downright demeaning. I basically had to self-diagnose my issues and seeing him was a complete waste of my time. I will never see him again due to his blatant lack of empathy and I recommend to anyone that is scheduled to have an appt with him to absolutely refuse to be "treated" by him. He will not offer you anything but more than below average care and I find him to be a disgrace to the profession. I appreciate having this forum to share my experience and my absolute disgust at Dominic's complete lack of professionalism."
